1 rebound is unacceptable and it isn't like he is boxing out. This isn't Robin Lopez with 7 rebs letting his frontcourt mate get 12+. Pat is useless on the glass.

CP3 got an offensive rebound in the clutch because Pat was just standing there.

I just don't understand it. The kid just has no motor.

Imagine how much better this team would be if he was replaced with an actual starting level PF.

Doesn’t Billy get frustrated with him, how does he not just yank him out of the game when he plays like this ?

He's been playing his ass off.

Much respect to both Zach and Vuc. Both have been incredible so far this season. Both have exceeded expectations.

Washington, Pels, and Blazers in our next 6. 500 is definitely possible. I don't think that's good enough for all-star nods though...people usually want a solidly winning record. We also have a 5 game homestand...although we've been terrible at home this season.

Reporter: Coby your dunk in Charlotte was your first of the year. You been saving them?
Coby: You see the pace we been playing at? I'm tired!

Goes on to say he isn't Zach/JP/Pat and he has to actually JUMP to dunk, "You see these arms? This wingspan? I have to JUMP for those!"

At this pace, Vuc will be an All-Star. Outside of defense, this is the most efficient Vuc has been since he's joined the Bulls and is having arguably the second best regular season of his career.

I feel like I’ve been seeing Billy and Lavine showing a lot of chemistry on the sidelines this year. They are talking one-on-one and laughing and seem like a legit coach-player duo. If real, that’s an impressive development.

at 18 Million dollar?

Pat, 18 Mil, usage this game: 11% -> production share: pts% 15, reb% 2.9

Coby, 12 Mil, usage this game: 24% -> production share: pts% 27, reb% 7.1
Vucevic, 20 Mil, usage this game: 26% -> production share: pts% 28.9, reb% 35.5
Jalen Smith, 8.5 Mil, usage this game: 31% -> production share: pts% 29, reb% 50.0

Dude gets paid, play big minutes, but his production share is too low to justify his contract. Coby and Vuc outplays their contract. Jalen Smith maximizes his usage rate.

It might be the reason why AK doesn't trade him. Can Vucevic continue playing at this level next year (age 35)?

Lonzo might be physically slower than he used to be but he still has a high IQ on defense that makes a huge difference. He’s been helping a lot when playing late in games.

Other than that the Spurs also fell apart. They proved that they still have ways to go to become a winning team. They had this one being up all game long including the 4th, they let the bulls come back and steal it.

Any winning record is good enough to get one all-star spot.

I'll be honest, I'm noticing almost no difference in Lonzo's quickness or athleticism. He looks like the exact same guy. The two things I am noticing is that he doesn't have the timing on his shot and his passes are slightly less accurate than they used to be. Both things will get better with time.

There was a recent rumor from Marc Stein that we'd possibly be trading Ball. If the return is a 2nd round pick(s), I'd pass. We're unlikely to draft someone that's going to be better than him in the 2nd round. Ball is still only 27... at this rate, I'd like to lock him down to a value contract. More times than not, he's one of our biggest impact players despite being a minutes restriction.

Just saw the Coby dunk and WOW. Best and most exciting dunk from a Bulls player since Taj Gibson.

Lonzo definitely looks slower to me in the open court and has less burst, like that first dunk he had the other day, it looked like a huge effort for him to dunk and also a huge effort to even sprint for it. I think the difference is that doesn't impact his game so much, he's just an incredibly heady defender and he is incredibly long physically so has a lot of tools on the defensive end that don't rely on his speed, and he was never a 1st step player or open court finisher anyway, his open court value is how fast he passes the ball.

You are right about the timing/rust for him too though, I think there are slight gaps there. It's easy to see how if he can stay healthy these things will improve though and even probably some of the speed will get better over another year of playing on it, strength training and rehab.

There was a recent rumor from Marc Stein that we'd possibly be trading Ball. If the return is a 2nd round pick(s), I'd pass. I think I'd be okay with this plan too. A lot depends on what that next contract looks like, and he will be a UFA so every team will get to bid on him, but I said at the beginning of the year, if he makes it through this year healthy that they basically replaced everything in his knee that was bad, so he has a whole new knee. It wasn't the super athletic knee he trained his whole life and was born with, but it also isn't a knee that is prone to injury with meniscus shaved down and no cartilage. His injury risk going into next season if he emerges problem free from this season is probably much lower than people will think it is.

That said, if 10 teams reach the same conclusion, especially about his impact, maybe he's a 20M player again, and I'm less excited to take the risk. I'd probably be more excited to keep Lonzo than Giddey though.
