Really you guys calling him block panther? That’s a horrible name. Anyway what’s wrong with just calling him carter? It’s simple, short and that’s his name lol.

Wondering if come next draft people will be wrong again with the same self-assured ferocity? I'm willing to bet they will....

What?

Given where we selected the pick was universally liked by nearly everyone. Carter was nobodies first choice (most people wanted Doncic/Bamba) but given that they were gone Carter was easily the favorite in that spot, with a few people being still hellbent on Porter despite huge red flags, and a few people preferring Mikal Bridges.

People were mad that the Bulls didn't try harder to move up, but they weren't mad at the selection.

Lauri was a completely different scenario. Out of the blue we traded the face of the franchise for a rookie who nobody had likely done any scouting on because of our expected draft position (16), a "bust" (Dunn), and a guy coming off an ACL tear.

People were going to be mad at the trade regardless of who we drafted at 7.

No they were still mad especially the Micheal Porter Jr fans. 90% of this board was not happy with drafting Carter, they see him as just an average player and still do.

The Block Panther is such a great nickname. Who came up with the nickname again? We have to make sure that guy gets credit, because this is one of the few nicknames that might actually stick.

It's just gonna be really uncomfortable if he ends up averaging 0.1 bpg.

If it sticks we'll know where it came from!

How can I trademark that quick since I came up with it? I could use the money!
You can buy manure outside, from better grazing grounds for your bulls, but if you never cultivate your own feces to flower better weeds you will always look to other side of a fence. - Koristossu

The only way he averages 0.1 bpg is if the other team averages 0.3 shots pg while he's in.

Here's the thing with the Wendell pick. I wasn't excited about it not because there was anyone else there I thought was better, but because there was a guy (Luka) that it was possible to trade up and get. I wanted us to be aggressive. In today's NBA Luka's skill set is just more valuable than what Wendell does, and Luka has a chance to be a star.

But none of that is a knock on what Wendell is as a player. I'm very confident he will be a very good NBA player. I'm also just as confident he will never be a superstar. Just a very good, steady, winning basketball player. Nothing wrong with that when looking at him in isolation. But that doesn't mean I or anyone else who wasn't excited about the pick was wrong. Unless, of course, Luka just isn't any good.

Brian Scalabrine was called White Mamba. I think the nick will be totally fine. :)

I mean think of it this way, WCJ initially made more news about his Wakanda suit than he was being picked #7 LOL

So in my opinion, the likely hood of a Wakanda reference will attached to him regardless of a nickname. Having a cool nickname with it only makes it better.

Just looked it up and it looks like it is at least $225 to register a Trademark

We pretty much have to find a home for Felicio before the season starts.

The dude is not going to play at all this season without it being forced.

Lauri is going to get the same minutes if not higher.
Portis deserves more minutes.

WCJ is their up and coming prize rookie who needs minutes.

Even if we traded Lopez for nothing, Felicio still isnt going to crack 55 games and 15-18 mins a night.

I really was encouraged about Felicio about 2 seasons ago, but that deal although not crippling, had no real direction or purpose.

Just need to will it into reality.

Like Stacy calling Butler "G Buckets, the G stands for Gets" when he was known primarily as a defensive specialist.

Or like that guy who nicknamed McDermott and Snell "Drain Duo".

Work out a deal with Stacey King and the Bulls. Every time Stacey says it on TV, you get some sort of royalty kickback from the Bulls.

Return to Chicago Bulls
