8-) . He is irrelevant as a Bulls fan so I will admit I don’t follow him like I used to. He has definitely had issues with teammates before though.

I really respected Air P. He said he was a Butler fan and he is now on the Heat board. If I was trying to change the past. I would have invest heavily crypto.

Butler is gone.

Well he seemed to be fine with all his teammates on the way to the finals. And it's not like they had a great team. The previous year before he got there, they didn't even make the playoffs.

And again, you brought up the trade.

What does what he did last season have to with him have clashes with teammate before? I didn’t say he was a complete cancer. You can talk about Butler all you want. I just don’t care about anything he is doing now or last year. About as pointless as wishing Rose never tore his knee up.

what do clashes with teammates have to do with anything? He was irrelevant in your own words, despite you bringing him up over and over.

I’m the one who brought up Jimmy Butler in this thread? You sure about that. I responded, but I certainly did initiate it. And with that I’m back on topic. Zach LaVine. Our current all-star.

I've been converted to a Zach believer this season. He legitimately came back as a different player. I don't believe he's the centerpiece of a contending team, but lets see what the new FO can formulate around their current pieces in a squeeze. Last FO probably would have put out hit pieces through the media to soften the blow of public reaction to trade Zach.

Me too. I liked him at the draft but since he got to the bulls I thought he was best suited as a 6th man, kind of like Crawford. This year he changed completely my view. I don't think he is the best player on a championship team but he is a player to build around or build with. Get another star player and we are cooking. Easier said than done.

I'm sure others have spoken about Jimmy before in this thread but the post I was replying to originally in this exchange was one of yours about the trade.

Years later people still worshipping people not even on the team instead of embracing a future superstar in Lavine.

Can Lavine be the best player on a championship team? Absolutely. Just depends on how good the other 7 main rotation players are.

It’s just so frustrating... moves need to be made ( Lauri I’m mostly looking at you ) to get Zach some talent to ball with. If not talent then players that are at least durable and can establish a rhythm within the rotation.

I’m not frustrated yet with management. I’m frustrated with some of our players. I’m taking as this as the evaluation season they said it was. If we don’t have have a much better roster of talent next season then I will be annoyed. I don’t them to overpay for short term results so though keep that in mind.

It's a shame that Derrick Rose have Zach Lavine's work ethic after he tores his ACL

I have no doubt Zach can be a top 5 scorer in the league for the next 5 years. He may even be there already. I think we need to pair him with a star big man, and then surround them with athletic 3 & D guys.

Oosh this post won't go over well.......

I think the main difference between Rose and Lavine is the type of athleticism.

Rose was more explosive and powerful whereas Zach was and is now even more so about grace in his movement.

Zach has also always been a better shooter than Rose which means he doesn't need to rely 110% on explosive bursts to score.

Yeah it’s time make moves once season hits. They don’t have to be homerun moves right away, but We need to see progress. Barring injury I think Zach can be an elite offensive player for 6 or 7 years. Probably until around 33. Maybe even longer. If he continues to improve as a shooter and facilitator he can lean on that once his athleticism declines.

Rose just wasn’t that skilled. Once he lost the .1 percent athleticism his game fell apart. He really tried to evolve his game by clanking 7 threes a game but it never happened. I remember I used to HATE watching him jack up 10 threes games. Now that is what all the best best perimeter scorers do including ours.

I really dont see much difference. stats from last season are comparable and he is a streaky shooter.
The only part he is elite is 3pt shot would like to see him relegated to a off ball Klay thompson role because he enjoys shooting.
This way he doesnt have to expend energy on turnovers and focus on being an elite defender.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.
