So whenever the news starts going against the Bulls, I just imagine that it's the Bulls party line that chances don't look great. I think they're trying to keep this very quiet and very professional. Reports about Jo, Reggie, etc. indicating chances don't look good have been pushed down from the FO to keep their cards close to the chest and plan in motion without media distractions.

This would be an entirely different scenario IMO. How much attention was the national media paying to the Nets right before the Kidd departure? Next to none. Everything was about the draft and impending free agency. How much attention is the national media paying to the Melo situation? A lot. Not 100% undivided attention, but a lot. I'm gonna guess it's a bit different to beat all the big dogs to the story when they're actively following the situation 24/7.

Carl broke a monster story before the media, you have optimism. I'm worried, buddy. Carl's sources are real, not imagined. I'd love to discredit him, but he's already broken one huge story in NY. Wouldn't be a stretch to assume he knows something about this.

He could have gotten the Kidd information a ton of different ways. Just like the Fanta shirt guy seeing Theo at starbucks. That doesn't mean he has "sources". It just means he gets his ass kissed on the internet for a year.

All Carl said about 6 was: "Interesting you guys are already on thread number 6."

That's cryptic as hell.

His post later: "I think I have to buy a Knicks Jersey with number 16."

Isn't at all.

Send Nick Friedell and Stephen A Smith scathing hate e-mail for awful reporting and failure to understand the intricacies of sign and trades and non-guaranteed contracts.

What exactly has the Bulls FO done to irk his camp so much?

Nothing. As far as P4P's examples those were both post championships when egos were insane.

Derrick's is post MVP. Hey look, you guys wanna stress out over every non perfect relationship between player and management, coach and management, player and coach, be my guest.

No but I don't think the Krause rift or the Shaq rift with lobe compare. I do think that Reggie and BJJ have harmed derricks ability to be marketed though.

Kerr as a smokescreen. I don't see it. I think this dude just works for the Knicks, towing the party line, etc.

If the Knicks get Gasol, it just saves our FO from making the same mistake. If we strike out we go after Lance and Love.

Starting 5 is then: Rose/Lance/Butler/Love/Noah.

I am going to close this page, get in my truck, drive 3 blocks down the road and then open my laptop at home. Noone post any hard hitting news for at least 15 minutes. If I have to keep hitting refresh on my phone between here and the house I will probably have a wreck.
