- Bosh needs a S&T to agree to go to a team
- Toronto isn't too thrilled with anything the Bulls have to offer (other than Noah)
It seems that securing Bosh would go a LONG way in getting the next pin to fall (Wade or Lebron)
Soooo.....what are some 3 team trade options? Let's get creative, who has a need for Deng that has something that Toronto would want? What the heck DOES Toronto want? (realistically!!)
you're misunderstanding how it works, Toronto isn't thrilled with what Chicago, Cleveland, Miami nor Houston have to offer. It makes no difference, they will take trade exception and picks, problem with Cleveland they have no trade exception and they don't have as many picks, hence Toronto may balk at taking contracts back. No downside in Chi, Miami, potential Toronto block if Bosh decides on Cleveland
Yeah...I understand all of that. The only things Toronto has shown interest in are trade exceptions/picks/small contract players.....and possibly teams taking Turkeyglue back.
All I'm saying is Toronto isn't showing interest in what any of Chicago/Miami/NJ/Cleveland realistically have to offer. What about teams outside of those 4? Does getting a 3rd team involved help anywhere? Deng's got a large contract, but he's an 18/8 player...is there another team out there that would be willing to take a shot, give up another draft pick, a player, that might be of more interest to Toronto and give Chicago an edge over the other teams vying for Bosh?
You would think that it would help. 3 team trade with Portland:
Bulls send: Deng
Bulls get: Bosh
Portland sends: Pryzbilla + Bayless
Toronto gets: Pryzbilla + Bayless
Toronto is probably just playing their hand to try to get Noah. If they really don't want Deng's contract there should be no reason why they won't take decent players from another team.
The Bulls can still offer the Bobcats pick which should be valuable to them.

Re: Bosh and Wade @ Agents Office With Bulls
I'm sure this has been mentioned in a thread already, but Mike Wallace was on the Waddle show about an hour ago. Recap:
-He said Wade is very much concerned about the 6th year and $30m. He'd have to be "wowed" by a club to leave that on the table and doesn't believe Riley would help facilitate him to Chicago anyway
-Said right now he thinks it's 70% Wade stays in Miami with 30% Chicago
-Said if Bosh is indeed S&T to Cleveland, Wade leaving goes to 50/50. He said he thinks you'll probably see Wade and Boozer with a Mike Miller/Felton or the sort signing in Miami
-Toronto has apparently agreed to S&T Bosh to Cleveland for some combination of Varajeo, JJ Hickson, West, Parker and picks; Said the holdup now is probably Bosh waiting to see if LeBron will resign with Cleveland (which he believes he will especially if Bosh agrees to the trade)
According to him, it sounds like Wade/Boozer is our best bet right now. And also according to him, it appears it's 50/50 because of the 6th year, $30m for Wade.
Oh boy.

So Bosh is Lebron's b--tch ? I mean I understand pairing up but Bosh sounded like he had no desire to go to Cleveland and now it sounds like Lebron is commanding him to come.

If Toronto really agreed to trade Bosh (+ Turkoglu) to the Cavs for garbage, Colangelo should be shot for the West like collusion (Gasol to LA). That's ridiculous, when they can get much better (and more salary savings) from any other team. I doubt this BS is true - more likely TO is leaking it to try to get better offers from other teams.

Re: Bosh and Wade @ Agents Office With Bulls
IMO Bulls oughta put the full press on Boozer ASAP. Screw Bosh. Boozer gets his 13.5M, or does an S&T where Utah gets Johnson and a pick and bulls give Boozer a 6-yr deal starting at 15 (or 13.5+Johnson's salary).
Now you go back to Wade/LeBron. Tell them there's only 1 Bosh and 2 of them. Bulls have a max deal waiting for the first to take it. Let them sweat it out between them to try and get Bosh or go join Amare+crap in NY or they can spend the next few years making sweet love to David Lee.
Worst case scenario, then the Bulls with Rose-shooter-Deng-Boozer-Noah with Gibson on the bench are IMO as good as anyone else in the East barring some crazy last minute LBJ-Wade-Bosh trio. And you'd have to think Wade particularly would be crapping his pants thinking about going back to MIA with the Beas and spending the next 6 years watching Cleveland, Orlando, Chicago, Bulls and probably also the Hawks and heck - possibly the Knicks depending on who else they can add beating his ass on a regular basis.
With that thought and the unknown of his custody battle and his family being here, I think he'd be hard pressed to stay with MIA even for the extra $$$.

I'm just repeating what Wallace said. He said they've agreed to S&T him there. The only hold-up seems to be Bosh agreeing (which is a big one of course, but seems to hinge on LeBron resigning). He made it sound like the combination of players and picks in the exchange are good to go. I'm sure Toronto will continue to try and get more until the end, but apparently the names being tossed around will suffice.

We wont hear about Bosh going to Cleveland in a S&T before LeBron announcing his decision to stay.

Pretty much from what I can gather. But it looks like that's what's being worked on as we speak, between LeBron/Bosh and Cleveland/Toronto.
Really looks like Cleveland will end up with a package deal here.

Assuming Wade wants to pair with Bosh (as reports seem to indicate), why would Wade's chance of coming to Chicago increase of Bosh & Lebron end up in Cleveland? I think it's more likely with Bosh off the table that Wade stays with Miami and Boozer signs with Miami.

I don't see why Bosh would ever pick Cleveland and Bron over Miami and Wade, if it came down to that.

I believe the thinking is that Chicago would have a much stronger team to compete against Clev if Wade and Boozer both came to the Bulls - as opposed to what Wade would have in Miami.

If true then IMO Bosh/LeBron in CLE is pretty much a done deal. If TOR knows they can send Bosh with a max deal to CLE, he's got no leverage. It's not like he's going to say "Nope, I'll take less money to go to Miami w Wade". He wants to get the max. He wants to play with another superstar. he wants to have ashot to win. All of those are solved with this deal. The only question is how badly he wants not to play in Cleveland, and given those other factors, I don't see him making a credible threat and TOR caving.
Which is actually IMO good for the Bulls. IMO it's a pretty to-shelf outcome to nab Boozer and then you have Wade over a barrel and can offer him winning, home, his kids/family, all at the expense of a bit of $$$, but he's got a ton of that. Plus I'm sure he knows that the Bulls are actually one of the more loyal teams out there and will take care of him if needed when his deal is up.

Maybe because he values Bosh more in terms of value and sees the depleted Miami team more capable with him rather than Boozer.
Or another reason might be Wade doesn't believe he and Boozer in Miami have a chance to beat LeBron and Bosh in Cleveland, with his best shot possibly being in Chicago with Rose and Boozer.

who to believe, what to believe...*sighh*
The Toronto Raptors have not spoken to Chris Bosh since their meeting with him on Thursday and have yet to be told which team Bosh wants the Raptors to send him to in a sign-and-trade, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
The Raptors have prepared sign-and-trade scenarios with close to a dozen teams, but are focusing on potential deals with Cleveland, Miami, New Jersey and Chicago. Talks with the Cavaliers have not progressed to where the Raptors have requested specific players, but it’s expected they’ll want forward J.J. Hickson and Anderson Varejao.
If Bosh is determined to leave Toronto and still get a sixth year and extra $30 million on his contract, he’ll have to engage in a sign-and-trade with a team that can give the Raptors an attractive-enough package. The Raptors would prefer young talent and draft picks in a deal rather than a salary-clearing trade exception.
Raptors officials have come to think LeBron James and Dwyane Wade will stay in Cleveland and Miami, respectively, and both will be fighting for Bosh to join them.

No reason to believe Mike Wallace over all the other talking heads, who all seem to be contradicting one another. No one really knows and the fact that the Bulls are not panicking should be a signal that they still think they have a shot at the big 3. Not saying they'll end up with them but there is not "done deal" at this point.
