Brady basically trolling Chicago. (He's not wrong though)

Read on Twitter

Borom back at RT and Jenkins moving around. That's James Daniels next to Larry, so he might be starting this week.

Bring it on. Hopefully the McCaskeys are embarrased enough to face their hiring failures

Brady is having fun and enjoying it IMO
Watching him with Manning's on MNF he comes off as a totally different person (in a good way)
than when he was with Pats.

I think the Brady way is more fun than the Patriot way. Of course he still works his butt off--but on the public side he seems 100x more open and relaxed.

The Andy Reid system is great if you have a good O-Line, good position players, and a good QB. AKA you need good drafting because you can't afford to sign that many of those. Hence, the reason KC is now struggling offensively. If you do not have all three of those the system will fail.

It is time to blow this up and bring in Brian Daboll or Greg Roman. Those are the two OCs that can work with Fields. Sadly, Daboll is going to work wonders with Mitch. I could see him getting a HC gig next year and bring Mitch with him to be his starter.

I see this idea being floated around a lot of places and I truly don't get it.

Trubisky is still a terrible starting quarterback. Accuracy has nothing to do with your HC or offensive coordinator yet Trubisky was consistently ranked as one of the least accurate starting QB's in the NFL from a clean pocket.

Nagy has very little to do with Fields being bad. He's just clearly not ready to play. Unfortunately, guys like Watson, Mahomes, and Herbert are the exception, not the norm. It is very rare for rookies to come in and be successful immediately.

The issue with Trubisky is that he was still overthrowing open receivers and making rookie type mental mistakes in years 3 and 4 when he was supposed to start figuring stuff out, despite the training wheels/pass he would get due to the fact that he started 10 games in college or whatever.

Caught up in the QB discussion is the fact that the defense hasn't been able to stop anybody since 2018.

The Bears problem with Trubisky and Fields is that they did not build the team through the trenches. Every great team is built through the trenches. I see that statement as fact. When you have a great offensive line any QB can look good and a good QB looks unbeatable. That is why at times Rodgers looked only good and other years he has looked great.

The Bears have tried to piece together an offensive line every year Pace has been here. In 2018 when Mitch looked pretty good the offensive line was good to great for a good chunk of the year. Nagy's system in particular needs a good/great offensive line. There is a reason the Chiefs Offense looks pretty bad right now. They still have Mahomes, Kelce, & Hill but they look bad. What changed...the offensive line. You can hide a bad offensive line by using a lot of two TE sets, not using an empty backfield, etc. If you build your roster around that system you sure as Heck need a good offensive line. If you don't no matter how good your skill position players are they still can't get open in 2 seconds or less.

Mitch could be a league average QB in the right system. Nagy's system is not the right system for any QB if you don't have a good/great O-Line.

Unfortunately you can't build a good O-line when you're spending 2nd and 3rd round picks on RB's and TE's. Especially when a guy like Herbert can walk in as a 6th round rookie and run all over the #1 rushing defense in the NFL. Mike Shanahan never drafted running backs high in the draft for that reason and he found 1000 yard rushers all over the place.

And that's a huge issue when you constantly trade the farm for Trubisky, then 1 good year of Khalil Mack, then Fields so those are the only good picks you have.

As I stated a couple pages ago, the Bears have no clue how to draft or build a team. That's painfully obvious. Pace should have been gone after the end of last season. I have no idea why he's still employed.

Kansas City is bad for a host of other reasons, primarily being the defense and the fact that Mahomes has always had sloppy fundamentals/hero ball mentality that is finally starting to catch up to him.

So with Matt Nagy not at the game because of Covid, this would be our first taste of a post Nagy World. He stated he might not even watch the game.

It will be interesting what changes. This game is winnable. Justin needs a breakout game and the Bears need a win. Let’s not mess this up.

I saw a Bears screen!

Herbert doing well

Justin did well enough with mediocre blocking on first series. They did extra pass TE protect for him on the first down pass. They still ran a couple dumb Nagy concept plays but they didn’t go empty iirc so theres that.

I like these running plays where it looks just like a play action pass setting up, but instead he hands it to Herbert deep in the backfield, and he can then pick his spots between the blockers who look like they are pass blocking. That seems to be good for 5-7 yards everytime, and eventually it is going to set up the passing game nicely.

Fields making good decisions so far, picking up first downs, moving the ball. Good start.

what a great throw that was by Fields. Going across his body, and just out of the reach of the defender. That had to be pinpoint accurate.

More evidence Nagy needs to be gone. Best the ball has moved during his tenure. Could easily have 17 or 21 if not for bad player mistakes

They're playing SF - clearly not at the level of TB/GB. I don't love Nagy but this is a clear step down in opponent and at home.

Glad Justin looks awesome though. His best half as a pro thus far.

Yeah, these teams are pretty evenly matched. I expect a close finish. Good to see them using Kmet more, and good to see Herbert continue to look good. Fields looks more comfortable, and the line is doing a decent job. I'd like to see them throw deep a few times, or at least mid range, but whatever, they have had several very long drives already.

I thought that was good defense on the long play to Deebo- it was just a perfect throw, and he's so big he can just screen the defender away from the ball.

Fields definitely looks more decisive passing and running.

Wait, the Bears have TE’s who function as receivers on their roster? Who knew?

Right but even against bad teams the offense looks like trash.

4/4 scoring and fields is having his best game yet. Not a good look for Nagy

They've faced one bad team this year.

Everybody else is 30-5 in games not against the Bears.

This SF defense held Kyler Murray and the Cardinals to 17 points. So its had its moments.
