I'm not so sure about that.

If Boozer isn't making jumpers he's basically a hot air balloon with sneakers.

And how many center like Noah? Sure he is no Dwight Howard if we have Asik I would be open trading Noah for LMA. But right now we have no center trading Noah for LMA you open a big fat hole that will be most difficult to replace.

You need a #2 option. Offer them Noah an Bobcats pick for Aldridge

Rose
Butler
Deng
Booz
LMA

That's a great team. Aldridge can play center vs the Heat just fine.

Aldridge is a special talent now?

Yep. 25/8 in the Big 3 era. Big difference between him (who steps up against the Heat) and Noah and Boozer (who disappear against the Heat.)

Portland has been searching for replacements since the draft. Talking to Pekovic an Kaman, plus they have Hickson, Leonard an Withey now. I think Portland would trade him

Hickson is a free agent and he isn't even a true center.

He only ended up playing center because LaMarcus's refusal to play it because he doesn't like to be banged on.

I'd take Leonard and start him

Rose, Butler, Deng, LMA and Leonard starting with Kirk, Dunleavy, Gibson and whatever you net for the Booz.

Obviously if you can get a better C then Leonard you do it, but worst case is you start him.

done where do we sign?

He doesn't want to play center though.

To bad, he wanted to come here, we will get his center next year.

Did you notice how in the finals neither team really played a center down the stretch? Miami was basically playing Lebron at center for stretches and SA yanked Splitter as soon as the games got tight. Miami doesn't play a true center so who cares? Isn't that the team we're looking to beat?

Miami, and the rest of the NBA. Yes, you might not need Noah against the Heat, but you might need him to get to the Heat. Look at the Spurs shelling out money for Splitter. He was worthless against Miami, but he played a big role in getting them there in the first place. If all they measured players by was "Does he play a big factor against Miami?" they let Splitter walk.

Just because Splitter was sitting, doesn't mean that SAS was playing with five small forwards. Tim Duncan was in.

Also Hibbert showed us how advantageous a capable center is against the Heat.

Who in the East is going to beat a combination of Rose/Aldridge/Deng in the playoffs? I'm curious. If you include Jimmy it's basically lights out for anyone not named the Miami Heat.

Lots of centers available next year. Someone would come here to play with LMA, Rose, Butler etc. Were a hell of a team

Or if this trade is made, maybe we go after Lopez or Kaman. Imo you just need a decent center next to LMA. plays def, rebs, scores some easy buckets every game and your good. Booz could get amnestied which just opened up some cash. Someone will come here.

I thought the goal is to win a championship? I mean I know Miami is the team to beat and even if any team in the East including the Bulls beat Miami they have to go to the finals to beat another team to win the championship. :P Sorry nitpicking there :P lol.

And correct me if I'm wrong sometime later in the series put Duncan at center with the small lineup.

Funny

I have always disliked LA's game. Since he was drafted. Just me maybe

and here we are discussing someone I was a proponent of the a year before we drafted him and still think is a rare talent, and a rare player (noah).

Ugh

True, but even with a dominant center they still lost due to a lack of scoring - which is our main problem. If you can't trade baskets w/ Miami, you have no chance of beating them.

Why do we need Noah then? He can't guard LeBron or score. LMA gives you a legit #2 scorer that every team in the finals besides 2 have had in the last 20+ years. Hakeems rockets an dirks mavs, we need a #2. Its a much better formula of success.

I'd say Indiana could give Chicago trouble, even assuming that Rose is back to pre-injury levels and the key members of the team aren't going into the playoffs hobbled/injured due to playing huge minutes again in the regular season. But hey, if you think it's simply "lights out, game over" (minus Miami) as soon as Chicago has LMA, Rose, and Deng, then there's probably not much to discuss since our views differ immensely.

That's just flat out wrong, and you didn't really answer the question. Is Aldridge > Boozer+Noah?
