The ultimate Try Hard team. I can live with that. I can see why others cannot, but that works for me.

And Bradley Beal provided the template for Avery Bradley on how an undersized shooting guard can contain Jimmy Butler.

The weird thing is they are still shooting better form 3 than SA (33% to 23%), but they can't make any 2 pointers (9-31)!

Incredible what this team just did. Lost their veteran starting pg and Leonard, yet they still win and blow them out on top of it.Popovich is just a great coach, has to be one of the best if not the best ever. Houston on the other hand had the perfect opportunity to take that next step to the west finals, but they failed horribly. I think that we can all agree that Spurs/GSW was the expected teams to face each other anyway.

Yeah they still had a very successful season,harden/dantoni took them as far as they can. No one really expected them to get further than this.

I remember Beal smoking a dead-leg Jimmy on offense. Defense? Nah.Butler scored 13.6 per game in the playoffs, 13.1 in the regular season. That was a different Butler back then.

Yeah but they shot twice as many. It was classic death by 3. A/k/a D'Antoni Ball.

That was Pax's guy until Jerry insulted him about defense.

I think Hoiberg has similar visions, just not the personnel to implement it.

A 39-point road win, wow. I wonder if that is a playoff record for a home loss. Am having trouble finding that on google.

Edit - OK no. The Hornets once beat Denver 121-63 on the road, oh my.

One hesitates to think what that same lineup would do in Fred's hands.

Game 2: Harden 3-17, 13 points
Game 6: Harden 2-11, 10 points.

This is why Jimmy Butler is no James Harden. Even on Harden's worst night, his production is amazing!

I feel like he would bench Mills and Simmons randomly for stretches. Both would have big games one night and then be inactive for a week.

LeBron is always there, and I might concede Durant. Although he had 7-33 and 7-20 games in the first round last year, and followed that up with 6-15, 16 points in a first-game loss to Spurs in the next round. That would be about it for guys who always deliver in a playoff game, though.

Man if Butler played like Harden did tonight. Zero effort.

They should trade Harden. Can't even get passed a Leonardless Spurs.

I'd still have rather seen MD with young Rose than VDN.

None of them are 2011 MVP Rose though. He could walk on water and lay golden eggs.

Well, Simmons did get sporadic minutes this year. A DNP in the Memphis series, and only about 10 minutes per game when he did get in there. Delivered tonight, though.
