Trubisky at a discount for one year sounds good to me. Draft a QB in third round and draft OL and DL everywhere else.

So...just my opinion as a fan rooting for chaos...

If I'm the Bears I go all in on Jameis and here's why:

1. Learned a year under a hall of fame QB in a great system
2. Got his eyes fixed, literally
3. One of a handful of guys to throw for 5000 yards in a season and averaged over 320 yards per game
4. Only costs you money
5. If you're going to get fired anyways, get fired throwing the ball down the field.

I'm only half kidding. I would watch with glee if we got Jameis. 5100 yards and 33 TD's his last go round? He will throw vertically. Now,it may be to the other team...but you know it would be fun to watch.

Pace/Nagy knows jobs are on the line, they are not going to put their careers in the hands of Mitch. If Mitch is back with the Bears, Pace should be shown the door immediately.

To be clear, they should already be fired. But the last thing I want to see is Pace mortgaging the future to save his ass now.

Rather kick the tires on Minshew or Brissett. The one option I won't be able to stomach is Darnold.

If it's a 4th, I'd try with Darnold but I like Minshew way way way more.

If NYJ drafts a QB at two, I'd do Foles for Darnold straight up and trade for Minshew as well and then let them battle it out.

I'd be happy if they Tag & Traded ARob for a late first/second or somebody like Orlando Brown. I'd love to see them trade up and get one of the four top receiving playmakers in Smith, Waddle, Fitts or Chase to legit replace Arob.

I understand that this sounds crazy to fans, but Nagy wanted Foles as his starter last season. Foles sucked for sure, but his starts fell when the O-line was at its most crippled. It might just be Foles and the search might be for an "insurance" NFL-ready backup like Fitzpatrick or Mariotta.

Long term, I think this still may be the best way to improve the Bears for sustained success. Use their assets and draft capital to improve the O-line, D and receiving corp (dump the clowns Wims and Miller). With those areas upgraded (and Cohen / Daniels returning), Foles could possibly get the team to the playoffs.....and I don't even like the idea of Foles again. Have another vet QB or late round rookie QB as backup.
TGibson (1/28/17); "..."a 4 or 5 on a scale of 1 to 10 for drama"...What's the worst? "...yelling matches with Thibs, everybody is just going crazy and I'm just sitting there...like, 'Don't call my name please..."

Don't have the 4th this year so it have to be a 3rd in '22.

For a low price I'd try it with Darnold, but the Jets are supposedly asking for a 2nd & a 4th. I guess this is basic negotiating, but a 2nd round pick is too rich for me.

Would definitely love that Arob trade too. Gonna be a lot of new signal callers this year that need a reliable target.

Darnold over Winston is blasphemy.

Never liked D'arnold, dating back to USC. I'd easily take Jameis over him if I'm the Bears. With that stated, unless Bears have a plan for upgrading their line, DeShaun Watson is going to be the only QB who works as he's proven he can run for his life and still throw an accurate ball.

I don't disagree. I've never been a fan of Darnold, since the USC days. He's always been very turnover prone. Overall I have no interest in trying to rehab someone else's broken castoffs. I'm okay with a "bridge" as long as we aren't under the delusion that they're "The guy" but they should be aiming for either selling the farm for Watson or drafting a QB.

Darnold is probably close to a pro bowl talent. He's been on a trash team with trash receivers, oline, run game, and coaching.

There are some notable releases happening right now. Ricky wagner is one and another will be Alshon Jeffery. We should bring him back on a minimum contract if possible.

It seems like our only options left at QB are minshew, winston, and darnold. Watson too but he's very very unlikely

I have yet to see anything at the collegiate or NFL level, to show that he he is close to a Pro Bowl talent.

Stats don't tell the whole story and it might not have all been his fault that he sucks, but he sucks. Poor accuracy, poor footwork, not good at reading defenses, terrible timing/anticipation. 30th ranked QB from a clean pocket, worst INT rate in the redzone over his last 3 seasons. And as a bonus he's been beat up so bad he see's ghosts... Good off-script, off platform thrower. Keep Mitch if this dude is an option. Not interested in rehabbing other team's castoffs, especially if we already don't have the belief in Nagy as a QB developer.

I prefer minshew or trask from the draft to darnold. But I do think darnold will have a solid career somewhere else.

Nicols, Miller, foles, three 1st and two 2nds for Watson. I think that’s fair value. I only think we can be out bid by a handful of teams. Jets, dolphins, panthers and 49ers being the main competition
