Milwaukee's GM needs to get fired asap. The last year of moves have been an utter train wreck. I'm still confused why two 2nd rounders and Jared Dudley get PHX Bledsoe, while Milwaukee's Redick got them the 2nd rounders.

And with reports of Jennings wanting $15M a year, why exactly are they entertaining this guy's requests? Just trade him already. There are tons of decent PGs looking for a new team: Jeff Teague, BLEDSOE (.. too late), Calderon, Jarrett Jack..

Hell, sign Nate Robinson to a 3-year MLE and probably get better production per dollar. Jennings doesn't strike me as a future all-star worth investing 25% of your next 4-year's cap for.

The Bucks seem to have some decent talent: why don't they collect some 1st picks and assets for Jennings/Monta in S&Ts so they can trade for good fits on longer contracts (if player's walking at FA is an issue)? Furthermore, why are they doing their best to build a LONG-TERM 8th-9th seed team? Bone-headed. Please, I'm college-educated, can I make a million bucks (no pun intended) or so a year to run your franchise, Milwaukee?

In a way, I cant blame the Bucks.

They remind me of us in 2000. No good player wanted to play for the Bulls fresh off Jordan leaving. On top of that, all players had it out for Jerry Krause. So even after all that money we had, our prized guy was Ron freaking Mercer.

Even when you look at how we got fleeced in the Jalen Rose trade. The Pacers knew we were desperate and we gave up 2 allstars with one also being DPOY. One of the worst trades in Bulls history.

The Bucks either have to draft extremely well and get lucky or severely overpay good talent to have or keep them.

The Bucks need to move to a nice location like Vegas to become a viable destination for free agents. As long as they are stuck in that city, they will always be mediocre.

Exactly, they need to relocate badly. Vegas would be huge for them.

Late comment. Redick on the Clippers now... I don't like this move. They are jacked.

It would be really cool (mainly because I want GSW to become title contenders) if Dwight *somehow* agreed to take MLE from the Warriors for this year and then signed 4-year max deal the next summer when they have cap space.

The Curry-Thompson-Barnes-Lee-Howard lineup with Jarrett Jack on the bench can beat the **** of Miami Heat

The MLE thing is impossible, but I agree with you in wanting to see Dwight to go GSW. It would just be, I dunno, cool. Lots of shooters plus Dwight, and giving the Bay Area folks some high quality basketball to cheer for again.

In my fantasy, it has to be through the MLE thing because I believe the sign & trade option is highly unlikely as well. A package like Thompson + Bogut would require the Lakers to pay a ridiculous amount of luxury tax, which may not be worth it for Thompson from their perspective.

And if the Warriors give up more than just Thompson, then they are longer the dream team we're talking about.

I'm not sure if that wins but that's a really good team.

I know the Lakers are posturing to not do a sign and trade, but getting back Bogut and Barnes *if* Dwight is leaving, doesn't seem that bad.

Nash/Kobe/Barnes/Pau/Bogut

Curry/Jack/Thompson/Lee/Howard

GS is still really good. Just losing Barnes really, Bogut would have been Dwight's backup.

Both teams would be pretty good there. Would be very interesting. (/cue the guy from laugh-in)

You wrote this as I was responding, can the Lakers amnesty Artest? I don't recall if they used it already, or if it's eligible to use on Artest.

They might do it though, I mean, their window is very tiny with age?

I think they will amnesty Kobe if Howard leaves. Kobe will be out half the year and without Howard they will be horrible. Why keep Kobe and pay the tax?

Yeah but if they don't have Howard, they aren't going to make the playoffs. Kobe will be out most of the year. You know hes not going to be happy coming back to that.

Very true, the only question with them is "who is their closer?"

Griffin? No real moves on offense, can't hit FTs.

I would say Paul, but I heard someone on the radio today (Bucher?) say that his meniscus-less knee is a lot worse than he's making it out to be.

Crawford? You have to worry about him pulling up for a 30-foot fadeaway with 18 seconds left on the shot clock.

But they do finally have a coach, if he gets them to start playing defense, they might just be the team to beat out west.

The Clippers are going to be even more interesting to watch than they were before. The coaching upgrade alone helps their West contender status.

You just really have to wonder how good and how committed Griffin and Jordan will be to the actual task of winning. I remember hearing Simmons talk about how Griffin and Jordan seemed more concerned with getting on YouTube with highlight dunks than winning games. They even felt Paul's style was grating and disliked his attitude! That is going to have to change if the Clippers are to seriously challenge OKC and San Antonio.

You know what gets you even more accolades than highlight dunks in games? Highlight dunks that are part of playoff victories.
"And if Rose comes back and is 80% of himself, the Bulls become a pain in the ass" -Zach Lowe

Still rooting for wins, but losses aren't the worst thing in the world. Perhaps the optimal strategy is hoping the Blackhawks are on at the same time.
