That will be the key. If Mirotic would play for the Timberwolves coming next season for a reasonable price, he would be worth more than the #6; then the Bulls can throw in the #16 and #19 as well as the Kings pick (and with the recent rumors about mid lottery picks being shopped, the Bulls might be able to flip #16 or #19 in combination with the Kings pick for a higher pick in this year's draft. Also, the Timberwolves have already #13, they could package that as well for a higher draft pick again). I think the Bulls can make an offer without including Gibson and/or Butler. Theoretically they can split up trades here, which they can agree in principal already on draft day:
1st: Love for Boozer+Mirotic+#16+#19+Kings pick (maybe future Bulls 1st added) + cash
2nd (after July moratorium): Budinger or Barea (seems like the two players the Timberwolves most likely want to get rid of the most, seriously doubt that just want to dump Martin at this point) for James, Amundson, Brewer (all unguaranteed) + cash
That way the Timberwolves could use $6m in cash as well as the removed salary via Barea or Budinger to compensate for Boozer's salary. And then they could end up with Mirotic plus two more Top10 picks (if they package the other picks). It would be a win-win situation. Timberwolves get adequate talent back for Love, while they can continue to improve the team around the Rubio+Pekovic combo; they don't add longterm salary; and the Bulls can ADD Love to their current core while giving up future assets only.
As pointed out atthe beginning: The key element here is Nikola Mirotic and is willingness to play for the Timberwolves. If he is, the Bulls have a great chance to make the best offer; if not, I think the Bulls will not field the best overall offer from the Timberwolves perspective.
