So cleveland is trading their number 1 pick for deng AND moving down in the 2nd round? LOL iv seen it all. You're pretty much saying deng is worth more than the 1st round pick. you're overvaluing deng way too much.

Let me tell you something, Squidward.

I will never respond to you.

the true question is, why trade deng for the #1 when we can trade him for kevin love straight up?

How do we get Love for Deng, straight up?

Somebody tell Squidward I'm not falling for his bait to tell him Deng for Love straight up is impossible.

It's a trap.

I love reading Bulls fans trade ideas, specifically how they tend to rape the hell out of one team and consider it a nice looking trade. Of course its nice looking, for us lol. A trade has to be nice looking to BOTH teams guys.

Unless you are the Lakers. In which case teams just lay down and give you their best player for peanuts.

Your hardline stance might be attractive in a reality of instant gratification and internet forums, but that's just not the way it works. Given the events of the past 3 years, it is only encouraging to see what the group can accomplish this year. You don't throw away a title chance because of impatience.

from rotoworld, source CSNNW.com:

If he is traded, LaMarcus Aldridge would prefer a deal to the Bulls or the Mavs, a source tells CSN Northwest's Chris Haynes.

Haynes reports Aldridge's reps and Blazers GM Neil Olshey met at the scouting combine in Chicago last month to discuss potentially trading the All-Star forward. The source tells Haynes that Aldridge would prefer to be moved if the Blazers don't have plans to drastically improve the roster before the start of the 2013-14 season. This follows a report from The Oregonian that Aldridge appears unhappy in Portland, which Haynes' sources both back and dispute. According to Haynes' report, Aldridge wouldn't be opposed to a trade, but he also wouldn't be a problem if he ended up staying with the Blazers. FOX Sports Ohio reported Wednesday that Portland's asking price for Aldridge is currently two first-round picks and at least one player.

You see, here is the hyperbole you like to throw around. You truly believe trading Luol Deng throws away our title hopes. Interesting. Nice to know how you think.

I never said that. In fact, it's insulting.

I was responding to your hyperbole that we will never win with this failed roster. I disagree with that.

Cleveland in: Luol Deng, #49
Cleveland out: #1, #31

Portland:
Taj Gibson, rights to #1 (Alex Len), Rip Hamilton, $1 million (for the buyout, as well as evening the salaries), #31, the rights to our pick whichever year we get the CHA pick (you guys like what I did there?), and the rights to our 1st-rounder the year after that too.

aka Portland in: Taj, #1, #31, two future firsts, and Rip.
Portland out: Aldridge, #10

Chicago in: Aldridge, #10
Chicago out: Deng, Taj, Rip, #49, 2 future 1st-rounders (one of which is the worse of two picks)

#20 on the side with Houston for Thomas Robinson.

Amnesty Boozer.

Cleveland's not trading the #1 for Deng.

Would it be more plausible if the #10 went to Cleveland instead of Chicago?

And here's the thing. I never said we will never win with this roster. I said this team failed in 2011. And failed the past two seasons with injuries. Am I wrong?

good. Thats doable range if one of the picks isn't the Bobcats pick and the player is not Noah.

If we trade Deng for absolutely nothing, it's a major loss to the team next year. And I will never be in favor of deals that set us back in our title chances.

That said, that is absolutely NOT what we are discussing here.

It'd definitely be more attractive to Portland. I'd want at least one more future 1st then though.

I think this deal is damn close.

Bobcats Pick, 2015 1st rd pick, Taj Gibson, Marshon Brooks.....That should be enough

We dump Boozer on the Nets for Humphries and Brooks.

all I have to say is that if LMA is really pushing for a trade, and unless Portland is willing to let him walk for nothing when his contract is up, they are going to get more value now, than if they wait, plus you can have a full training camp without someone who doesn't want to be there. (Yes I know he said he won't be a problem, however it isn't like he isn't going to talk about greener pastures to his teammates, and that it won't be constant fodder for the media the whole season.)

Also, when a player demands a trade, and gives a list of teams, the value of return drops dramatically. See Pau Gasol, Charles Barkley, Shaq, etc, etc, etc. Getting a player like Deng in return might be the first time that someone coming off 2 all star games, and only just turning 28 would ever be had.....

Return to Chicago Bulls
