watching his shoot around that's the same impression I got of him. a watered down white version of carlos boozer. less talented also. maybe not as strong and lesser rebounder. but has the jump shot and fadaway. the poor boy wont see the floor cause thibs is to much of a muscle headed stubborn coach

He actually uses his strength making him worlds stronger than Boozer.

I think its safe to stop bashing boozer since he is going to be off the team. but this white boy wont sniff a min unless its a blowout or a few injuries occur. reguardless of what skill he brings thibs wont play him. he could be better then taj just because hes, out 13th man thibs will sit him and say (IM STICKING WITH THE TEAM THAT GOT US THIS FAR APPROACH) and also does he defend? that's already a huge red flag

"This White Boy" reeks of racism.

Hopefully one day we live in a world where race isn't needed at all. Choosing to see things through color is so out dated.

Even if he never gets off the bench he's better than Boozer.

calling him white boy is only because I have no idea what his name is and don't feel like looking it up. and how is he already better then a two time allstar who had great success in the nba

Because Boozer sucks NOW.

Bairstow right now can do everything Boozer but with a physicality that Boozer is too soft for.

Bairstow should also immediately give you more effort and awareness on defense than Boozer does.

Boozer is probably better at pushing people in the back and ruining defensive momentum than Bairstow.

You're in a Cameron Bairstow thread but finding his name in this thread is too taxing for you so you just call him "White Boy" ? So not only do you come off as racist but also extremely lazy?

JFC, he's a 2nd round pick. Exactly what are you expecting? Do you complain about an NFL 7th round compensatory pick being too small to be a starting SLB?

Players who are more important to the Bulls success, in no particular order- Rose, Melo, Noah, Butler, Taj, Mirotic, McDermott, Snell, MDJr, DJ, Smith. If Baristow is a major piece to any puzzle, we're in trouble.

The dude shoots like a 1940s-50s basketball player. Hilarious set shot.

but it's QUICK. Awkward looking but his FG% suggests it's effective. Between the Noah moon ball and this guys set shot?

Welcome aboard Cameron. If he can give us some quality backup minutes I'll be happpy with this pick. I wonder if he caught our attention last year when we were looking at snell. I suspect we will at least keep him around like we did with murphy last year.

Bairstow connected at an incredible 63.8% from shots between 17 feet and the 3-point line during his senior season, yielding a 1.277 points per possession that ranked as the most efficient in college basketball among players with at least 40 attempts.

Like what- 2 a game under Thibs? I'm not knocking the player, I couldn't pick him out of a Wayans family picture let alone grade his talent. I'm just saying that its funny people express anger over a 2nd round pick. Anthony Randolph was a mid-first and is an NBA afterthought. The statistical probability of any guy picked at #49 making the roster and being active for games is low.

Bairstow has a good shot at getting minutes. He brings something we lack. He is not more of the same.

I would be thrilled. But even if he's garbage and gone by Halloween, nobody should be angry about it. That's all I'm trying to say.

Here's a hint for you... his name is the name of the thread. Heck, you could even call him "guy" if you don't want to go to that much effort.

Look a little deeper and then you will come into the light that is Cameron Bairstow. You too will become a believer

I like that he's from Australia. They have been producing some good players. He looks pretty fluid for a mountain man. Broad shoulders, good legs, solid mid range game, rebounder. Willing to do the dirty work.

I'm just trying to fake my way thru work until Melo decides. After that, I probably won't give a squirt about Cameron Bairstow one way or another. But I'll pull for him to do well, I'd love for the Bulls to get two players out of the draft, plus Mirotic, plus Melo. I'd have a perpetual soft-on for sure.

Sorry, but this is just a ridiculous statement. Do you really think Bairstow could average 15 ppg right now?

This is a tough call, his floor will probably be White Mamba with a ceiling being Kevin Mchale?

Fingers crossed for this one compared to McDermott.
