Dotson is way too short to be driving into the trees the way he does, while Ayo looks like he just needs reps. They both need to pass that ball out and stop forcing it.

Patrick Williams is still indredibly raw and his court awareness offensively and defensively leaves a lot to desire. I love him, I want him to succeed but it's gonna be a looong way.

Here is what I expect. He molds into a complimentary role with the veteran starters. Avgs about 11-8 for the first quarter of the season. Then he starts having nights of 25-30...intermixed here and there. And then he goes off one night for 40. Everyone makes a big deal and his mindset changes about who he is on the team.

Pels have denied Pat from being aggressive and have let the guards dictate the offense. It's working for them.

I'm not sure. Defensively his lack of lateral quickness is an issue. He can only overcome this with superior positioning but it's simply not there yet. Offensively he tends to dribble into trouble, he runs into traffic a lot where he loses his handle....

As I said, it's gonna be a long way.

Simonovic has been a nice surprise today...wasn’t sure what to expect but hes got a really nice shooting stroke. Holding his own in his first game vs NBA competition. Should be a nice rotational piece for us with plenty of room to grow. Keep him in the weight room.

It would behoove us to find a competent backup behind Williams. A lot still has to happen for him to really be ready to contribute on a good team.

Patrick is a Beta's beta. Awful draft selection. I can definitely see why this F.O. isn't going with the build by draft strategy.

Got to love Summer League over reactions!

PWill was the best player on the court in the first half. Dreadful second half. It happens for a player learning how to build confidence on the court as the go-to player.

I really expected a little bit more tonight. However, the ag is the biggest + right now.

PWill will go his way.

The Pelicans always field a competitive summer league team. Credit to their coaching.

P Will is two years younger than Murphy. Nice first half bad second. Not worried at all.
