Yeah, the "MVP" chants need to go away. He's not a mascot. I assume most of those fans have their heart in the right place and they are trying to show they love the effort, but it is awkward.

I 110% support this. He's not a novelty. Dude is a legit NBA All-Defense caliber player. He's like our modern day Bobby Jones. Or our Tony Allen. Please, Caruso should not get Scalabrined.

I'm pretty positive that Jokic is coming to Chicago.

I just have have a sneaky suspicion that this one is a done deal. Lavine said before the season started, if they wanted him here, he's not going anywhere because he's aware of what they're building.

Call it wishful thinking, but I personally think he already knows.

Arturas still has an ongoing relationship with him as well.

Bulls brand >>>>

My guess is kat is the next target

why do the bulls need another star player? the shots are seperated well now. another star will shut the other out. all chi need is a nice microwave guy like coby to make that huge leap and maybe a player like pat williams to wake up out his shell once he's back. i wouldnt let go of either one of them this year. green, derrick jones jr, provide alot of energy and hustle. why sit them when neither demands the ball and only want to win. they play defense and stay out the way unless there in transition or wide open. thats how everyone still gets there shots. ball kinda does the same thing but on a higher level. he actually needs to shoot more and is relied on to some degree.caruso is the same. those players to all want to win and play there role and when needed we see what they can do.

They are talking about the future. A year or two down the line. I’m all in on seeing what our current group of stars can do in the foreseeable future. Seriously doubt any of our “big 3” is going anywhere anytime soon so don’t sweat it.

There is hope for him; his issue is basketball IQ and for some guys the light does “go on” later in their careers, a la similar athletic marvel Gerald Green (albeit very late for him) or Jeff Green (also very late).

Oh yeah, with the Lavine connection that could definitely be a thing, or atleast another option if we strike out.

Karnišovas developed strong bonds with many people during his Nuggets’ tenure. Jokić is certainly one of them. When the Bulls and Nuggets played in March, Jokić acknowledged as much and addressed Karnišovas' new role.

“I just have a long relationship with him. He’s from Europe so (we) have a similar mindset. He’s a great guy to have," Jokić said. "This is a new challenge for him. I’m looking forward to see what he’s going to do. They have an All-Star this year [Zach LaVine] so that’s a good thing. I wish him all the best."

This guy is coming to Chicago. I didn't even read this until now lol.

Don’t know that either are coming, but the Bulls are suddenly a destination for a star that is looking to get out of a situation. Big market, good team, likable players and coach and looks like they could be one guy away from contention. Welcome to anti-GarPax world (said By Rod Serling)

While I would hope the large Serbian population in Chicago would hold some leverage but, I don't see Joker leaving the Nuggets and leaving 80-90 million of a SuperMax on the table.

So first game the MVP chants didn’t bother me at all…. Last night being at the game, when they started it was beyond cringeworthy. Just awful it needs to stop. In the excitement of that first home game, it was fun, now it is just absolutely awful. People please stop.

Maybe Denver wants to make a Vuc for Joker swap….

Loved this gem from the game thread in general yesterday.

This Bulls team makes 0 **** sense. Are they actually a contender?
LOL! He's right...on paper this team does not make a ton of sense. If I would have said, "Hey, the Bulls will start Lavine, DD, some random 6'5" SG at PF, and Vuc.....but would have one of the best defenses in the NBA"....I would have been committed.

But here we are.

This thread title is on point. Bulls might just be that team you don't want to play.

For the youngsters out there....this particular style is about as close as I've seen any recent Bulls team play like the MJ/Pip days.

While everyone remembers Jordan's dunks....it was the defense that made those teams go.
On offense, there was no true PG or dominant low post big.....but two dominant wings that could handle and facilitate.

Assuming Patrick was healthy, this team could run the triangle really well.
Jealousy is a sickness.......get well soon....

When Luka did that around the back Alley pop, I thought Zach would counter with a nice around the back dunk at some point. Then Lonzo throws a fastball strike to a pissed off Zach, and we get an all time Bulls highlight.

No ceiling on this team.

Quick thought: Bulls are undersized T Or F?

T at 1 spot.
F at 4 other positions.

Do Bulls have biggest backcourt in League with Zach and Ball? Big where it matters.

That Lonzo bullet pass looks even more impressive in this angle. He just barely missed Powell's head to get the ball to Zach.

I think there are 2 guys who play that pass exactly like that: Lonzo and LaMelo. LaVar might be crazy and annoying at times, but that's a talented family he has.

I'm holding out on being excited until we get to the 25 game mark of the season. I want to get pButass the SSS, just to see what this team is.

But dayum they are giving me hope that is okay to get emotionally invested again. That Caruso to Ball (via Vuc) to Lavine for the 360 Angry Dunk was a *chefskiss* thing of beauty.

It isn't that much. The difference in contract amounts is because of the extra year, but that's only relevant if Jokic couldn't get another job in the NBA after his next contract. Which seems...unlikely. The last year shouldn't be considered, because someone like Jokic can always get another max, and most superstars opt out of the last year anyway to get another big contract signed.

His people will also factor in endorsements. The last MVP in Chicago's major market got $190M from just Adidas, not even counting in all the other endorsements. Jokic ain't getting that staying in Denver.

Not saying Jokic to Chicago is likely, just that any MVP is always a flight risk especially when endorsement money is considered. Most people would have bet Giannis would have left Milwaukee. I think a lot of experts were surprised he stayed.
