I don't know what was going on earlier in the season but we have not looked very good since the Laker game on Nov 15th. Since then we've gone 3-4 and looked noticeably worse on both ends.

This also happens to correspond to Coby being back in the lineup.

Look at the way Ayo plays. He plays his heart out both ends of the floor. Comparing him to Coby, Ayo looks like an all-star while Coby looks like a 12th man.

Aggressive layup.
Great defense on Oubre and forces a brick.
Long pass to Lonzo which creates a layup opportunity.

He did 4 really good things in 30 seconds. Coby has been out there for a while and has done not a single positive thing, and a bunch of negative things.

We are a much better team when Ayo and DJJ get a lot of minutes - not token 10-12 minutes.

At what point do we call Ayo a better 3 point shooter than Coby? His current year & final year rookie 3P% is better than anything Coby has produced. The volume isn't there yet though.

Ayo makes it really hard to see Coby in a Bulls Jersey for much longer

And I have been a fan of Coby and hope he has a good long career. He just doesn't fit the teams identity.

Neither does Vuc unless we get a solid defensive 4 next to him.

(20 or so games in an things start to make more sense)

Playing 5 games in 7 nights isn't exactly normal for ANY team. This "trend" means nothing.

3 plays in a row 2 offense and 1 defense Ayo is showing Coby how to play. Just such better instincts. If Ayo had Cobys stroke… well we wouldn’t have gotten him in the second round. This is also why outside of the top 3-4 players in most drafts it doesn’t mean much to me. Everything after top seems like a it is the luck of the draw
