Exactly, Woj says he's strongly linked to the Clippers and Heat and that a team to watch for as a frontrunner is the Bulls.

Or something to that effect.

I was really just reiterating the “f**k it, why not”

Oh yeah for sure.

But the tweet from Greenberg says THE frontrunner, that's what fleet and I were talking about.

between this and the dragic/drummond signings, AKME is showing concerning echos of garpax in terms of lazy “name” acquisitions that superficially fill a position of need without actual regard for how that player meshes with the roster they’ve constructed

Drummond would've actually been a great signing if Donovan used him consistently. He's far from a perfect fit for what we we need but the cost to production ratio is insane.

Yeah, turnovers and fouls are costly.

Man I'm all in on Russ now. **** it. He's one of my favorite athletes ever and we're boring and he's an upgrade over Dragic (even if only a bit). Caruso and Ayo are fine players, but they are not effective nba point guards. They are utility guys. Coby isn't one either. That's why I always thought one of them would be the defacto backup SF.

I'll take back everything bad I've said about woj if we sign him lol. Would be exciting. Maybe he pulls together some inspired restrained play for his old coaching staff.

The only question is, who goes out of the rotation? Coby? Ayo? DJJ? (Making caruso basically the backup 4). I think Dragic should be the primary backup PG. We need to generate offense dammit.

I think DJJ should go out of the rotation making us crazy small:

5: Vuc, Drummond
4: Patrick, Caruso
3: Demar, Ayo
2: Zach, Coby
1: Russ, Dragic

Russ is crazy and can't shoot but at least he can rebound and pass and can push a fast break! Why not?

Staying with the Jazz is still an option, but Utah have been very up front with Russ that he likely will be racking up DNPs the rest of the year if he chooses to stay. Utah is trying to evaluate what they have with their young guards.

The article also makes it sound like it’s entirely up to Russ as to what happens next, and March 1 is the deadline for players to be eligible to play in the playoffs.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if hes asks for permission to to talk to other teams which will be granted and he will hop on few zoom calls and see how everyone envisions using him on their squads

Sadly, I 100% agree with this. You always have one of him and DeMar on the court at all times. I think Westbrook would be a great fit with Lavine and Vuc. I really do. A ball dominant PG who actually sees the court. Should make both of them better.

As of yesterday, Woj said that Chicago is a team that has interest in Russell Westbrook.
He did NOT say Westbrook has interest in Chicago. He only said Westbrook will be taking time to decompress before making any decisions.

Unless Greenberg has a source Woj doesn't, Westbrook has not decided on Chicago or is close to deciding on Chicago.

I would tell Joe's Westbrook's TOs are more than fine for his assist production.

But Westbrook's rock bottom IQ, isolation hero-ball style, and being one of the worst (if not the worst) scorers in the league are definitely big Chicago issues that Westbrook just exacerbates.

If people think Lavine has poor late game IQ and Derozan hero balls too much, they've seen nothing yet.

I understand Russ has a low ball iq in late game situations. But I also understand this team thrives when a rebounding point guard pushes the pace, which Russ does. I think this team can benefit from that upside more often than not. And any late game boneheaded plays we will just have to live with or understand that we probably wouldn't be in that position anyway if we didn't have Russ.

Is ir really any different than having Lavine playmake at the end of the game??

We just need a point guard tbh

What Westbrook brings is the explosion package back to our offense we has with lonzo that we just completely don't have now. Our guys are just not running anymore and that hurts us when we are playing bad teams who do nothing but run and gun. If we can at least add that dynamic back to our offense we can at least beat these bad teams. Now as far as the 3pt shooting that is on Donovan to run more offense centered around featuring our best outside shooters which he is not doing. Lavine coby dragic and vucevic need more plays ran for them with the 3. And guys like Caruso and ayo need to be discouraged from taking them. Westbrook has actually hit a few 3s for the Lakers. But we can't look to him for that. BTW to cowley there was no pg on the market who push pace and hit 3s at a high clip. I'm hoping we add the pg then somehow either internally improve the 3 pt shooting or add a 3pt shooter.
