good. Thats doable range if one of the picks isn't the Bobcats pick and the player is not Noah.

Bobcats Pick, 2015 1st rd pick, Taj Gibson, Marquis Teague.....That should be enough

Then we dump Boozer on the Nets for Humphries and Brooks.

Keep in mind we're going after Thomas Robinson too. If we get LMA and T-Rob, Boozer is NOT traded. He's amnestied. Flipping him for Humphries is a waste of a roster spot, and we'd be much better served using that cap space this offseason.

What we want: Deng Rip and some extra stuff

What we don't want: Anything involving Noah or Rose

Most realistic trade that benefits both teams: Jimmy, Taj, Mirotic rights, Charlotte Pick, #20, Rip

I never said that. In fact, it's insulting.

I was responding to your hyperbole that we will never win with this failed roster. I disagree with that.

And here's the thing. I never said we will never win with this roster. I said this team failed in 2011. And failed the past two seasons with injuries. Am I wrong?

Your position has been to trade away the current core for chances at stars in the future. You have been notoriously pessimistic and reactionary, calling for the trades of many players. You have constantly brought up the failures of the past few years to justify this roster overhaul. I'm sorry if I take that to mean you don't believe in the current roster's ability to win a championship.

Mirotic has to be traded in any deal for Aldridge. Also Mirotic's value drops for us if we have Aldridge as well.

i lold at this. I think a deal could be close and we might be able to do it w/o offering noah. Port is looking for at least 2 first round picks and one player. I still like Forums proposal of giving up our pick whenever we get the bobcats pick

I can't see Mirotic being moved unless it is to a team he wants. Remember, he is still making good coin in Europe, plus I don't see the Bulls moving him.

I would be shocked if we moved the char pick as well.

Deng+Taj+Charlotte pick (plus more picks) seems rough on the surface. But if you're sure Deng doesnt fit financially, and you're feeling 50/50 that Charlotte could land a really good player in next year's great draft......

.........then this may make sense.

I have the position of not trading Rose and Joakim Noah. I am also of the position that the emergence of Jimmy Butler and Deng's contract situation makes him the likeliest person to be traded. I also believe Taj Gibson is overpayed and can be a part of a deal. Hardly pessimistic. And hardly trading away our core.

would: boozer, bobcats pick, mirotic, future first be possible? Id rather not trade deng leaving another weakness in the starting 5. Rose/Butler/Deng/Aldridge/Noah would be unreal. Not sure trading deng and something else for aldridge would be a step up. I'd rather just see how this group can do next year then.

Rose, Jimmy, Noah should be off the table. They have to have someone guard LeBron and that Jimmy's new gig.

Thats just way too much, IMO. That would be bending us over.

Even James Harden or D Howard get that kind of haul.

People need to remember that Mirotic said he is uninterested in the NBA unless he is playing for the Bulls or LA. He will not come over if he is not coming to one of those teams.

Not at all. Mirotic then becomes a killer 6th man off of the bench.

Thibs could go Offense/Offense for short stretches as well with LMA at the 5 and Mirotic at the 4. Imagine how hard it will be to guard derrick when potentially all 4 guys on the floor with him are legit shooters.

Jimmy's value goes beyond his play, really. With Jimmy, you can better afford to let Deng go and your salary situation looks much better.

This is what it's gonna take, roughly. We've got to coordinate a deal with Houston for Robinson, Cleveland for #1, and Portland for LMA, so whatever we do is gonna take a number of assets. It might look "rough," but we're gonna be in great, not good, shape afterwards.
