Are the shots as wide open as they were against us?

Yes - no difference. They are shooting 3/16 from 3s - measly 18% shooting and all of them were WIDE open. If they had their normal 3pt shooting game vs us, the game would have been close and we would have a chance at winning. Oh well. Role players play better at home.

This is why we need to get that home court advantage by getting that 1 seed.

Yep pick is officially toast. The surgery is supposed to be season ending or close to it.

Definitely one of those situations where after 9 straight wins some earned the hard way we were due for a loss... The Mavs and there game plan was solid but getting beat because of mediocre shooters having career nights isn't as bad a result as it could have been.

Some big names being lost now- first Paul George, now Damian Lilliard. That's the one thing that scares me about our team- should Demar or Zach get hurt (or Vuc to a lesser degree), our title chances would really take a blow.

But that's how it is with every team. I don't think there is any team that don't get screwed when their number 1 guy is out for season.

Reddish for Knox and a Charlotte, protected pick. Meh. Why not take a swing of you’re NY. Knox seems pretty sucky.

Not long ago there was some talk here about the Bulls and Cam Reddish. I bet they could've got him for something like DJJ and the Portland pick (I'm not sure the exact salary needed). Would you do that trade?

DDJ on an expiring and a first round pick which may never convey is not the same as a sure-thing first rounder, so no, I bet we couldn’t have.

You don't think the Portland pick will ever convey? Maybe not this year, but I imagine they'll finish better than 14th in one of the years between 2023-2028. That's a long stretch of being terrible, something the Blazers historically have not done.

Portland's 1st round pick to Chicago protected for selections 1-14 in 2022, 1-14 in 2023, 1-14 in 2024, 1-14 in 2025, 1-14 in 2026, 1-14 in 2027 and 1-14 in 2028; if Portland has not conveyed a 1st round pick to Chicago by 2028, then Portland will instead convey its 2028 2nd round pick to Chicago

The pick that Atlanta got from the Knicks is Charlotte's and will probably be a late pick (just like the Portland one). But it'll most likely convey in this upcoming draft (right now it's #20).

Charlotte's first-round pick is protected through the top 18 in 2022, the top 16 in 2023, and the top 14 in 2024 and 2025. It becomes two second-round picks if not conveyed before 2026.

That's true. But this seems like a miracle season for us in the making, and it would be a shame for it to come crashing down due to an injury to Zach or Demar.

Indeed. Some nice things on paper with age, and defense, but too much drama. Too little offense. Feel like great offense usually beats great defense...especially when great defense is almost unplayable late on offense.

What about 2022 draft night - Vuc, Coby, Pat, and 3 first round picks for...??? (I’m assuming hitting draft night allows us to trade 2029).

DeMar, Zach...and quite possibly someone else really, really, really good. No idea who could be out there at that point. Suppose any playoff crash and burns will tell us.

So make our team worse for what reason exactly?

Just like Sixers Niang and Korkmaz couldn’t miss when we played them and then couldn’t make in the following games.

Dubs play Bucks tonight. I’m assuming no No Klay and Dray against us.

I think anyone trading for Simmons is taking a significant risk with his mental health. That’s a very real thing in this whole scenario. Think it goes beyond him just pouting and refusing to play.

Dubs are getting totally annihilated. I mean, like last night's game level annihilated.

looks like the warriors are paper tigers who don't have what it takes to compete against a true contender on national television
