Everybody act like Melo should go to L.A, Kobe Bryant is the only player they have and he has only one ankle left..
That's how I saw that message.

Knicks board doesn't need a S&T.
You guys can have Mitch.
We're moving forward without him.
Unrelated: How effective were the Bulls when Scottie was the triangle star?

The Bulls made a heck of an effort.
They marched out their core in Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson and Derrick Rose, lit up the scoreboard with an image of Carmelo Anthony in Bulls’ home whites and wined and dined the seven-time All-Star so he could get a small glimpse of what life would be like in Chicago.’
But according to several reports Saturday, the idea of Anthony signing with the Bulls is just about running on fumes.
Bulls sources were mum on any Anthony talk, but they have taken notice of the reports coming out of New York that Anthony is expected to accept the Knicks’ five-year, $129 million contract offer by Monday. According to the Daily News, the one stumbling block is that Anthony is holding out hope that good friend LeBron James can find the two a place where the money is good and they can run together.
It seems unlikely that, with James seeking a max contract and Anthony wanting close to the max, enough parts could be found around the two to make a serious run at the champion San Antonio Spurs.
The Bulls are holding on to the belief that their pitch was the best of the four teams that didn’t have Phil Jackson as team president — and that they have “yet to hear no.’’
In fact, they haven’t heard much from Anthony since he met with the Knicks in Los Angeles last week.

Interesting that Melo and Kobe are so close.. That kind of worries me....idk if he'd be playing the Lakers if Kobe and him are that tight.

This is true. On a separate note, I'd rather Melo go back to NY than play for the hubris and entitled Lakers fans.

Very. Scottie was pretty ideally suited for it, with his ballhandling and passing skills. Refer to pippen's two non-jordan years, or 1-1/2 depending which way you look at it, where he was averaging something like 22/9/7. Bulls were still a good offense with Jordan gone and Pippen running the show. I think it's understated how good that bulls team was, even without MJ. I don't think Carmelo can really fit into that seamlessly, especially the off-ball movement that is required in the triangle.
My honest opinion is that NYK don't have the personnel to run the triangle right now, and it is going to look terrible in year one. I think Phil is eventually going to get the guys in there who can be successful, I believe in Phil's guidance, you guys are in good hands.

Re: Melo 17: Death or Glory
Sounds like Cowley has given up hope. Interesting he doesn't lend any credence to the LA rumors and is convinced Melo signs with NY. The biggest piece of news, I think, is that the Bulls haven't heard anything from Carmelo since their pitch. That is not good news. No communication = no go.fleet wrote:Joe Cowley has packed up his **** and is waiting for a taxi in the Melo Hotel lobbyUpdated: July 6, 2014 2:32AM

He didn't even mention the Lakers being in the mix now, and co-favorites to land Melo (and Lala.. lol). That leads me to believe that he's behind and hasn't even considered the leverage part of all this.
We know how closed knit the Bulls are, and the quote that the Bulls haven't heard from Anthony despite both the Bulls FO and Melo being in LA a few days ago. The Bulls don't let news out. We should know this by now.
Heck, we don't even know if Rose was present at the Melo sales pitch!

True, pretty sure Rose wasn't aware that free agency even started in July, so it must have been a surprise to run into Melo during a routine workout day at the United Center. I wonder what Rose must have been thinking when he saw Melo there on monday. "Hey Melo, you work out here too?" or "What brings you to Chicago?"
Imagine such a chance occurrence! What are the chances? Two nba stars just running into each other at the arena during the offseason.

that is the perfect rollercoaster to describe this whole thing lol...high-highs and low-lows
hopefully theres a decision today
as far as lack of melo-bulls news since his visit...remember the Bulls are usually good at keeping things under wraps so we wont know until we know
