No Draymond and Klay for the Warriors game tonight, and they’re on the second night of a back to back. But they did get blown out yesterday and no one played over 30 minutes.

They’ve lost 4 of their last 5, but feels like Steph is due for a monster game. Hopefully not tonight.

If we allow Furkan Korkmaz to look like Prime Steph Curry when he plays us I worry about what actual Prime Steph Curry will look like...

One bad loss and you're ready to wave the white flag??

We've seen this movie before first-hand. And you see it league-wide in the playoffs every year.

But the team with the best player wins the playoff series a comically high percentage of the time. And it's unlikely we'll have the best player in round 2 of the playoffs (let alone the conference finals or finals).

We've taken big strides this year. But that also means we've graduated to new problems. The key one being that the NBA is a cruel league. And that there's very little a team can do to beat the team with Giannis.

There was a post a week or so ago that listed a bunch of Bucks fans takes on the Bulls which some people were triggered by but they were for the most part totally correct.

This squad is a squad But they haven't been to war in the play offs and suffered losses in the playoffs and made tweaks and adjustments.

That 2010 bulls team returned better in the 2011 season until Roses injury in that first playoff game.

I wouldn't place any bets on the Bulls winning the championship, but there's no reason to believe they won't stack up competitively against teams like BRK and MIL. It seemed like Suzerain was over-reacting to a blowout loss to BRK by suddenly saying "the board was getting out over it's ski's".

After we were blowing teams out by 50 points in the preseason, everyone said the same thing- don't get too excited, it's just preseason. But you could see even then that this team had something. I would not get too worried about a bad loss in January. The Warriors right now are going through a tough period. All teams suffer slumps, or almost all do.

The talent on this team is there. MIL does have Giannis, but what do they have after him? Teams that play us have to contend with not just Zach, but also Dermar and Vuc.

The one thing that worries me is our defense. If we can improve that, and get back to where we were earlier in the season when we were one of the better defensive teams in the league, we will have as good a chance as any team to come out of the East.

ummm Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton? 2 players plainly better than Vuc?

Well a great many players are better than Vuc these days. However, if you take the Bulls' actual best 3 players, as measured by VORP, their 2nd and 3rd best guys (Lonzo and DeMar) stack up just fine wiht Jrue and Khris.

But ... yeah ... Giannis. If we are going to beat the Bucks, it won't be because we have the best player on the court. But neither did Miami 2 years ago, so there's that.

The Bucks were also one big KD shoe away from not looking quite so bad ass. I'm the only one noting it, but I also wonder how Jrue & MIddleton will stand up as the playoffs progress. Weird bubble covid year with a shortish playoff run + Finals-winning run + Olympic gold run + another weird covid year. Those two aren't old, but they're not exactly young by NBA standards. While we lack the experience, we lack that wear and tear due to our playoff ineptitude. :(

first 20 games: 103.8 (ranked 4th)
last 20 games: 113.4 (27th)

overall defensive rating has plummeted to 18th

Anfernee Simons showed a few flashes years ago, but he’s also had horrible stretches. Hopefully he wins more games for them and continues this super stretch.

LOL. Lakers getting annihilated at Denver. Lebron will demand a trade to Golden State or Brooklyn in no time!

if your saying every team is 100% with no covid impact or bubble situation the Bulls are just not in that top tier of 4 or 5 teams. But for the last 3 years an injury, covid or bubble has helped determine the outcome of who made it to the finals. I dont think this year will be no different. We're in a slump but it will pass.

Man I see Jeff Green has been putting up digits for DEN. Few weeks ago I was chucking Troy Brown or TPE swap ideas. Today he's a fantasy star.

Well, at least we don't have the Lakers supporting cast. That is a rough crew. THT is looking rough..

I really don't get any smack talk about that guy. He never lived up to his draft position, but he has been a rock solid player his whole career, even now in "older" age. He would easily be our starting PF. Amin was gushing over him repeatedly last time we played IIRC.

4-6 weeks out is still gonna hurt, but better than the entire season of course.
