I just cant see a Boozer/LMA frontcourt finishing a game as a good thing. Maybe Taj/LMA....but that still doesnt address rebounding which is what sets off Derrick before the opposing defense can set.

I would add Deng as the third guy who is a two player who will finish games, but definitely in situations where you need the best D or need a rebound, LMA may be in there but he's probably not the best option in reality.

Right now the reality is the same as it has always been with the Bulls: shut down Rose, and you win. Who else is stepping up?

How do you explain the Bulls incredible winning percentage with Rose healthy? I mean healthy and playing.

Gasol is substantially better than Noah.

Better scorer same defender same rebounder same passer.

How does that make him substantially better? Better, yes, but nothing you stated indicates he's substantially better. Or is Marc Gasol a go-to guy now? Also, op did state he's better.

Lol, Gasol is 10000000 times more go to than Noah.

Gasol is more of a second option than Noah could ever dream to be.

17-9-3 playoff performer this year DPOY, come on, Noah is not in the same league as Gasol

What? You seem to be very unfamiliar with LaMarcus Aldridge. Save for foul trouble, there are not many scenarios where he is not finishing a game. He is not Boozer, who is a defensive liability.

The Bulls need to be able to score the ball in the low post, something Noah is very pitiful at. It doesn't put any pressure on the Heat and they can trot out their small ball lineup that is a nightmare to guard.

You know what's hilarious? People expected Boozer to operate a lot in the post when the Bulls first got him. You do realize that LMA operates around the post area as much as Boozer? And his finishing isn't anything drastically better than Boozer either.

I laugh at the thought of LMA being guarded by Battier sadly we may never get to see this become a reality.

I'm talking about the playoffs.

If you're another team, who other than Rose strikes fear into your heart in the 4th quarter?

These rumors have to be frustrating for Thibs considering how we lost Asik. I'm sure he'd probably be on board with a Noah/Aldridge swap if we had Asik, especially since Omer was the guy getting crunch time minutes vs. the Heat in 2011.
Just a must-watch army of possessed ass-kickers laying the smack down night after night after night. People are gonna hate playing the Bulls this year.

Trade Noah for Aldridge

Trade Boozer and Deng for Asik and Parsons

Rose / Hinrich / Teague
Butler / FA / FA
Parsons / Snell / Dunleavy
Aldridge / Taj / Murphy
Asik / FA / Nazr

You know what's hilarious? People thinking that Noah will last a full season healthy thereby wasting prime years with Rose.

Noah is the second most valuable player and he is also who we finish games with. Think about who is going to finish games regardless of situation:

Rose

Noah

Only Rose and Noah are locks. With LMA, I doubt thats a lock.

I feel some don't feel Aldridge is a lock because they most likely don't watch many of his games. Aldridge is really good and one of the few starting big men who's actually pretty solid defensively while being a good offensive threat. He could be just as important to our team or any team.

Admittedly, I havent followed Aldridge as closely as say a Hibbert, Gasol or even a Nene. So, to a degree, I am speaking from a place where my knowledge of LMA's games comes from the few times a year we play them.

But, I dont see how the below is winning you a championship:

Rose
Butler
Deng
Taj
LMA

Thats ignoring that Portland seems to want Butler + Noah. F that!

Makes not re-signing him look even dumber

Aldridge doesn't need everything assisted like Boozer does.

I also don't see the following winning the Bulls championship either:

Rose
Butler
Deng
Boozer
Mohammed (because Noah will get injured like always)

Boozer has always been a high p&r player, he has never showed low post dominance.

And this rebuts the fact that LMA has about as much post game as Boozer how?

Go back to the Bulls board in 2010, there was a large chunk of the board which expected him to be this great offensive post presence.

As it concerns next year, I agree. But that doesn't mean a team with Aldridge on it would be incapable of winning after.
