Monty did a outstanding career move signing with the Lions

My statement isn’t a criticism f brown. I don’t expect him to completely rebuild the offense. He was always going to have the same playbook. He’s done significantly better calling plays and seemingly done an even better job of coaching the offense up during the week. But the playbook still sucks. I think he’s definitely displayed HC material already, when you consider all the great things said about him. My point is that I just don’t want this offense next season, in any form. I think brown has proven himself to be at least a decent play caller and I think that could translate to any offensive system (Ben Johnson’s)

One thing I noticed is that Brown is less spread out, more like McVay. But you’re in midseason, far too late for meaningful change. Anyway…..

I would love to see them add another big run stuffer inside. Too often teams are running right thru us.

Definitely. John Hankins would be a stellar addition

He looked fine the last 2 weeks. Lions are just a very good defense. Better than the Vikes.

He’s lost so confidence in the beginning of the season the OL was unplayable now it’s serviceable it’s Caleb scared to miss the throw holding the ball to long and taking bad sacks

I would also like to see us add a veteran CB2. I said all offseason I didn't think Stevenson was ready to be our CB2 and I dont think he's shown enough consistency to make me think he'll be ready next season. I wanted Gilmore(who is playing at a very high level in Minny) for this season and I think we should find someone like that for next season. Definitely not at the top of the list of priorities but once we address our top needs, I think this is one of the first things we should look at...

Gilmore, Adoree Jackson, Johnathon Jones, Rasul Douglas are all pretty good options

Or put Smith as our outside CB opposite of Johnson.

Not a bad idea, but we have so many other needs, like another safety to replace Brisker.

right. I don't think adding a vet CB for 2-5m prevents us from addressing that

McVays offense has a lot of longer routes. He just mixes in his short route plays a whole lot better. He's a master play caller which is why he's considered one of the best in the league.

TB is doing a much better job of mixing calls and using previous calls to setup the next. He probably would add some plays and remove some plays overall but the playbook at ita core will be the same. You don't learn and run one system then easily switch to something else right away.

Either way, Flus needs to argue way more and protect his players.

Caleb also needs to execute better. I don't know what's going on where now his short throws are way off.
