Their vaunted PoA D is getting blown by quite a lot. Indy’s honestly has been more impressive to me in this series. Massive credit to Nembhard as the tip of the spear there.

Nembhard has been a revelation defensively all postseason. So fun to watch. Having him and Caruso both making a huge impact in the Finals is what young players need to see.

There isn't any "long term" for Kevin Durant. On VORP, he's now at less than 30% of his peak value, with a score of 3.0 as opposed to 10.2 in his MVP season -- and he's 36 years old and sliding rapidly. He's in the Jimmy Butler category, a guy who can help you next year and perhaps the following year. After that, he won't be worth more than a ring chaser's salary.

If KD is expecting something long term, I would be out as a GM. He's a year to year dude.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

Looks like 3 FRPs and 2 pick swaps. The Magic don't own the Suns' 2026 FRP, but they have the option to swap. Still a lot to give up.

Might as well erase the trade thread and start fresh now that the starting point in negotiations appears to be multiple unprotected firsts

Grizz blowing it up? Whats their plan now with Ja/JJJ….

Nice move for ORL. Paolo/Franz/Bane/Suggs is a heck of a core. They just need to trade for Vuc to add some vet leadership and front line scoring!

Man that is a ton for Bane.

I guess teams haven't learned their lesson.

We always talk about teams are going to give up the farm for the player they want. No it seem only when it concerns us. Teams do it routinely.

I think the league is just selling us off short. Bane can get 2 players and 4 unprotected picks and we can only get 1 lottery pick and 3 bench players in return for Zach.

That is an insane overpay. That's franchise player return. We might be able to get 2-3 picks for Coby after all if that's the market.

Vuc fits almost perfectly on that team now.

Curious what can be extracted, maybe pick 25 + filler

Nice move? They gave up 4 firsts (one of which is a Suns 26 1st) and a swap to still have no PG or remaining assets outside of Paolo/Franz.

Grizzlies have some serious assets to make a big move.

Damn…it hurts when you put it like that. Get that Bane is a very solid defender and a bit younger, but is he really this much better than Zach? The money is pretty much the same.

Maybe he is, given their backcourt of Suggs/Bane can lock down teams on defense.

But how did we not at least get another protected FRP or a pick swap?

Think it's entirely narrative. The Bulls suck at controlling the narrative around their players. Zach was "chocker, stat-filler, non-winner" here. Bane was "glue piece" to team that never made it out of the first round.

All of our players have been viewed as fool's gold on the market. Everyone else's shine from outside looking in

Good thing - Coby and Lonzo become way more valuable in this market. Bad thing - AKME. Still here.
