I think trading for parsons is a good move if it lands luka.
25 mil next year Is a wash and 25 the next for a veteran SF to mentor luka isn't the worst spent money.

Knocking the bulls out of max FA money next summer is concerning but overall parsons wouldnt be completely toxic and bulls core of
Dunn
Lavine
Doncic
Markeen
Lopez\Portis

Will have us challenging top teams in the east in no time.

What are the specifics for Asik's contract? Team option?

Believe it's only like $3mil guaranteed after the upcoming season, so he'll be waived next Summer.

Mirotic TPE for Bayless+26?

I'm by no means a cap specialist, would trading for a TPE essentially extend the length of the exception?

Odd wording - but I'm sure every team has a package to put together for Kawhi.
Sorta - anyone you want plus 3 1sts.

The reverse Jimmy Butler trade. Dunn, Lavine and 7?

He is good piece going to a team trying to unload a huge contract that is hard to straight up absorb, but would like to have cap space immediately, because he is owed 13 mil (10.5+2.5) through two years, but if he is stretched, he is being owed 2.5 mil through 5 yrs, which reduces 8 addition mil the same season. So if he goes to, say, Memphis, they clear out almost whole Parsons contract, and actual salaries in the trade are lot closer (esp if we include Portis and/or Holiday)

Much more reasonable than Parsons and 4 for 7. Still don't love it maybe add their 2nd as well.

IMO it would have to involve more picks, less Zach, maybe Dunn.

7/22/2020-1st/Portis/Asik for Leonard? I dunno. Maybe a start, with removing Asik's salary being part of SAS' demand. Or you can just do 7/22/TPE, which is a pretty big package if Kawhi agrees to resign to the supermax.

To be honest, I'd be very nervous trading with SAS. Putting a lot of stock into this core if you're shedding most assets for Kawhi. You still have to wait and somehow unload all this dead salary in that scenario (RoLo, Asik, Felicio) before hoping to add help.

I would not trade for Kawhi unless it makes me a legit contender NEXT YEAR. He's not going to stick around if winning isn't on the menu. It's the huge risk in trading for an expiring star.

Well it’s been confirmed Leonard wants out. Now how much are we willing to give up for a guy on a one year contract?

I am not sure if I want a diva like Leonard on my team after having dealt with Rose and his people. He really rubbed me the wrong way with the way he did the Spurs so dirty. I prefer to stay the course with our rebuilding project.

Deng+Ingram for 7 has more life to it given Kawhi's recent statement. I take Ingram over anyone in the range of pick 7 easily, the only drawback is having 2 years less on a rookie contract. He's 9 months older than Porter Jr by the way.

2019 picks should be off the table particularly with the One-And-Done likely to be phased out.
