If Blake has anything left in those knees, this will be a good signing. But the cut market is typically overrated.

The Nets are a very bad fit for Blake IMO. They don’t need him on offense and he’s definitely going to be a defensive liability they can’t hide. Hope it works out for him, but I would have rather seen him somewhere else.

Blake Griffin? Is the signing of some washout seriously being talked about here, with all the interesting stuff going on right now? Blake Griffin is a non entity & this is non news. He’s played 38 games over the past 3 years lol....

Not thread-worthy, but Taj Gibson still looks pretty spry to me. I absolutely hated that we traded him for Cam Payne. Taj was the type of vet you want as a steadying influence on a rebuilding team. I think he can still play more than his numbers indicate, but at the very least, I wish we had him over Felicio/Kornet. He'd be a great "Kurt Thomas-esque" vet for this current squad.

Taj was in fact the 3rd best player we gave up in the trade.

Which is pretty shocking.

eh...mcdermott was pretty worthless until he got to indy. and, of course, we don't know if the bulls would have taken mitchell robinson with that pick

That’s a pretty specific slur. There’s no claiming that just slipped out because you hear it all the time in rap lyrics or use it in poor taste to joke with friends. You pick that one up at the alt right militia meeting or the klan rally. He’s trying to say he didn’t know what it meant. Riiiiiiiiight.

Agree. I had literally never heard it, and couldn’t figure out what the word was given the “k_ _ _” editing in mainstream articles. I literally had to google ‘anti Semitic slurs’ to figure it out.

After five fallow days, actual competitive NBA basketball arrives tonight. I can't wait.

Yeah I don't buy that "didn't know what it was" excuse he's trying to go with. He used in context. It's not like he was like "that outfit is so K_ _ _" and someone had to tell him they think he's using the wrong word.

He knew it was an insult. He used it to insult someone. He knew.

He was one of the few players to not kneel with his teammates in the bubble, which on it's own didn't really get much reaction from me. When that action starts getting paired up with other behaviors, you start to wonder what this guy's views are on things.

If the Nets can at least become an middle of the pack defensive team i think they could win it all. I just dont see a team at the bottom defensively beating the lakers.

My take is that if Nets have their main 3 healthy come the ECF and Finals (mainly Durant), they're winning. Might be a volatile run up, but there's just too much fire-power. The East is going to be a cake-walk.

Not to mention they'll trade Dinwiddie for a healthy role-player. If the DET rumor's true, Plumlee, Wright, or Jackson are 1 more guy for their already decent bench.
