If you're the front office, and fans on this board, I don't see how you can say no to a
Noah/Gibson for LMA/TRob/Leonard
You get size, scoring, defense, rebounding, younger, athletic, and you do this all whole saving money
You still have the rebounding/Interior defense advantage over Miami
You still have two wing players who can stick Lebron/Wade better than almost anybody in the league
Now you add Rose/LMA scoring to the mix???
I just don't see how you say no to that

You're all discussing swapping LMA for Noah and what that means for your lineup. But that's not the trade that would go down, Portland isn't going to trade LMA for Noah straight up. Nothing to do with talent, everything to do with injuries. I don't want a perennially injured center on our team if it means we give up LMA. The starting point to trade discussions would be Noah + Butler, or Noah + CHA pick + other future assets.
I don't think CHI gets LMA in the end, frankly. I don't think you have the assets we would be looking for since I doubt you'll give up Noah and Butler for LMA.
I don't guarantee much, but I'm willing to bet anything, anywhere, any time that the Bulls' front office will not, in a million years, trade Noah for Aldridge.
Meh, I could see them possibly trading Noah for LMA straight up, but Noah + Butler or Noah + Charlotte Pick + something else? Portand can go screw themselves if that's what it would take.

It looks like Dwight is going to go to Houston. If he really wants to make a basketball decision and win, he goes to Houston. In such a case, doesn't Taj look like a damn good fit next to Dwight, rather than Asik behind Dwight? Does Houston do a Taj-Asik deal, thus making Joakim...expendable...for Aldridge?
Maybe Asik can just get flipped to Portland?
You want shooters around Dwight. LMA is a better shooter than Taj. If Asik can get LMA, why does Houston not do that themselves?
Fancy. You're right. That'd be a pretty big extra ~$6.5 million from Gibson to Aldridge for an about-to-be-strapped Houston team, though. That's all I've got.

If we are going to offer Noah, maybe we can consider trading him for Kevin Love, and flip Deng for Asik. As long as we get a player like Asik, then I'm fine with parting ways with Noah. The Aldridge for Noah swap is intriguing, and I''m on the fence with that. But I'd be intrigue with the idea.

82games.com describes "Clutch Time" as the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter and/or Overtime, with neither team being ahead by more than 5 points.
In 2010-11, Noah played 57% of the Bulls' clutch minutes. Asik played 4%.

Anyone willing to trade Noah for Aldridge is out of their damn mind. The 8ppg that Aldridge averages over Noah don't come anywhere close to making up for the defense, leadership, hustle, rebounding, and passing that Noah gives you.

Too much going on.
You cant change the identity that much. Technically, that starting 5 is completely different than the starting 5 from last uear. Completely.
Not gonna happen.
For love, not money.
