He needs to do that regardless of Willy. I’m willing to accept the injury explanations from last season, for now, even though I never really agreed. But we are all dealing with limited information as fans so it’s best to keep an open mind and accept evolving into.
But if he resembles last season’s version this year, get what you can at the trade deadline before you have to extend him, and move on. Regardless of Willy’s future role or how he looks as a rook.

I believe this could be true but I wouldnt put too much stock in anything KC johnson has to say he's basically a mouthpiece for the organization, he would never do anything to rock the boat, he likes his cushy job. If it was coming from somebody like friedell i'd be more hyped.
