Heard on NBA radio Kings offered Bagley to the Pistons for Bey and the Pistons said no.

Adams is really available. If we can get back Ball + Adams, I'd feel pretty good.

The Bulls need an energizer bunny as much as anything. You can tell Thad's legs and stamina are shot--dude had nothing left in the tank last night. Zach looks exhausted and is coming back to Earth after his incredible play pre-ASB. Lauri's in a big funk.

When these 3 are trending downwards, the whole team looks like bottom decile in the NBA... because WCJ and Coby continue to be just trash on the floor night-in and out. That's why I'm not a fan of Lonzo. Dude touches the ball a lot, and in places to do something with it, but doesn't try to do much with it most of the time. He gets 10% more touches than Zach to get his 14&5. That's hardly better than Sato if you let him have full PG duties and not share them with Zach.

We need an aggressive go-get-it player--and possibly to replace Thad's minutes because you can tell, Thad right now looks like a grandpa waiting for the ice packs the last several games.

If we take Adams' contract, we shouldn't need to add a 1st. That said, feel free to offer White, Carter, Val or Hutch to make deal work. JJ wants to go to a contender and I think NO will accommodate his request.

It’s the most I would offer for Lonzo Ball, but only if it meant we could resign Ball & Markkanen.

I’ve always thought Adams was pretty overrated but he’s oddly kind of what the Bulls need at center, so I’d be fine with it.

Don't expect any trades. I think AK likes Lauri and think she can get him for cheaper than what Lauri and his agent wanted last off-season (I'm guessing 4 years 64 million). The #FireAKME movement begins today :D

Adrian Wojnarowski
@wojespn
Sources: Orlando continues to listen to offers on All-Star Nikola Vucevic, but it would take a substantial package to pry him. As the Magic drill down on Aaron Gordon trades, an additional move w/ Vucevic for assets would set franchise toward more substantial long-term retooling..
Lauri, Carter, Porter jr 1st round pick and 2 2nds for AG and Vuc

If to get Ball we had to trade Thad for assets and use part of them in the trade with the Pels, would folks still want him?
I'd be fine trading both separately, I'm just not willing to give up too much for Ball.

The Bulls land Nikola Vucevic and Al Farouq Aminu for Otto Porter, Wendell Carter Jr., and two first-round picks. Huge addition for Chicago, who remains in pursuit of Lonzo Ball. The Magic are moving toward a rebuild now with Aaron Gordon deal on deck.

Per Woj. Not something GarPax would do.

You get NOP to fall for that and the Bulls get interested.

Taking back Adams I'd insist on a FRP to help them out of the mistake they made signing him for an expiring Otto. But looking at their traded picks they don't start cashing in Laker and Bucks picks until 2022 and a series of swaps until 2027 so there's way to know when they could send anything but their own.

Ball's RFA situation makes me want to give up less for him than somebody would be looking for to pay for Lauri. Ball will have a lot of teams after him, I don't think Lauri is so much better than others with fewer injury issues that teams could get for the same money.

I do think they need an emotional leader more than an upgrade at a given position. Part of that is GarPax always brought in the high character guys who didn't rock the boat. Hinrich was a team leader but in a subtle way, the same with Deng and Rose. Noah was an outgoing guy who really stood out among groups that were so quiet.

So now I wonder with Vuc at C, can we move Lauri and let Thad and Aminu hold down the 4..?

Is Aminu playing? He was always hurt these last few years. I was thinking he's just dead salary, but I could be wrong.

He had knee surgery in December (torn meniscus) - not sure about recovery, but that doesn't sound great

Return to Chicago Bulls
