Kid is a bucket. Can see him going over Ace and VJ. He’s way better than both right now. He gets a 3 ball which he will because of his FT % is so high he will be Lillard good. He can create space and draw fouls. Once he does that for 3s off the bounce it’s game over.

I wouldn't want to take Demin at 10-14 but if you can unlock his scoring the upside is there. I watched Advija drop 36/8/7 on 16 shots, and he had similar concerns as a prospect. Broken jumper, not a high end athlete etc. Fixing Demin's issues as a creator is easier said than done, players like Evan Turner never figured it out but these flawed big playmaking wings keep getting drafted high for a reason.

Riley had an amazing game with 22 points.

That’s my guy. Been high on him all season. He’s a big time shooter. Always steps up in big games and moments.

All season? He was pretty bad for quite awhile. He’s really turned it on the last 6-7 weeks and is surely climbing draft boards quickly. I figured we would draft ahead of him, but not anymore due to both us and him.

Riley had 31 in his debut. Not many freshman do that. I know it was a blowout.

He has had bad stretches just like all the freshman. Over the season his role has changed and he is on ball more. Pin downs and even some PNR. Hes active on D and instinctual much like Buz but he also needs to add a lot of strength.

I think eventually he becomes a secondary playmaker and a movement shooter which is very valuable. I like his fit with Buz and Giddey. He offers some rim protection (blocked a dunk yesterday) and he navigates screens really well.

I wanted him after a trade down. We will be making the playoffs and picking 14-16. He will be there.

Why, we already have a guy who dunks like that...PWill.

Project Pat has never dunked that ferociously in his life

Miss or no miss. That kid doesn’t really love basketball.

I will say Matas is really great from a team building perspective.

A good sized 4 who can shoot, attack a closeout, and help inside defensively is huge.

I will go further and say that the most important player type for an NBA team is neither a center nor point guard, as in the old days, but instead a two-wing -- a guy who scores both inside and out, and defends inside and out. And if he also can run the team's offense, then he's an MVP candidate.

Of course super-special centers and PGs can break that general rule, as with Jokic and Steph. But I think that if you add up all the NBA players who truly make a difference to winning, there are more two-way wings in that category than any other player type.

I’d agree if we were drafting top 5. At 10-15 you’re projecting on traits and upside. He’s a more explosive athlete than Pwill, is efficient, good stock numbers and great on/off numbers. Go look at Jalen Williams’ numbers from his freshman year.

Yeah if we make the playoffs (god help us), I think he's in range.

If we don't and are picking 8-10th, then I think we'll have better options.

As long players have engine and athleticism I am picking them anywhere in draft. Matas is best example of that. Weak or strong draft. Invest in players who have motoric abilities. Passion for game is 2nd most important trait. Too many players now playing and coming into NBA who are in this sport just for a money. And basically they put just enough effort to get first contract extension.

Keep Patrick Williams on a team and show him around team that he is reminder what and who you should not be as NBA player. Dont care how good you are as a kid. You are faker of basketball player.

I cannot believe I am saying this but if GarPax was running this show he would not be getting extension.

And that said, I'm not loving these so called "better options". I will say that Jakucionis has surprised me. I know he is duplicative with Giddey, but my mantra is "BPA all the way!".
