With all these moves it wouldn't seem right for the Bulls not get anyone

So when you factor that in and look at the SG's that can help this team I don't see how people can rate Lee or Mayo so low and be so negative. Both guys are legit starters, Lee started over J.J Redick as a rookie who we offered 7 mil to be our starting SG this year.
Ugh. 2008-2009 Reddick is not the Reddick we offered 7 million dollars to - why does it matter if Lee started over him? Does that round all of Lee's pedestrian numbers up?
It matters for the people that call him a back up because he is not. He just happens to be on a team that has a really good SG. Lee is a starting quality SG Mags

You see all kinds of big moves around the league. What do the Bulls do? Trade for Anthony Parker.

Or not. We'll see.

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

They're going to one up the Knicks and Nets now by shocking the world and trading Joakim Noah for Dwight Howard

Re: Woj: HOU still wants Asik for Lee, CHI determined to add SG
If we’re going to give up promising young players like Asik, the returning SG should at least be better than our current SGs and Courtney Lee (12.8 PER) is technically not as productive as Ronnie Brewer (13.0 PER). He’s a different kind of SG and that’s what we need, but let’s not pretend the raw talent of Lee here is anything special, especially considering he’s almost 26 years old, been on 3 teams, and given starter minutes to show what he’s capable of.

Re: Woj: HOU still wants Asik for Lee, CHI determined to add SG
It's a kind of offtopic but Afflalo was mentioned in that article. I must say I can't believe how much Taj Gibson is overrated on this board. Rose, Noah, Boozer, Deng....not one of them is overrated here. This board is so great because of that, bunch of objective and non homer fans around here.
And it makes it even funnier that Gibson's value to the Bulls team is so overstated around here.
You can argue that it would not be a wise move to trade him for Lee, even Mayo, but I'm literally shocked by the fact some of you wouldn't trade him for Afflalo.
How much better player than Afflalo who can be a long term option do you expect the Bulls to get? Who is going to be out there that fits THE BIGGEST NEED this team have right now and is better than AA?
For what? 2 months of Taj Gibson's 20 minutes a game and the second round exit? Have you seen this guy play when coming off the bench? Awful offense and nothing close to elite defense. Average player all around. He is what he is, he is usefull, he is blockig shots like a mad man and rebounding the ball very, very well for us, but let's not pretend he is some key piece. On the other hand,a player like Afflalo could become a key piece.
Just imagine the Bulls get someone like JJ Hickson or Arthur from Memphis. Majority of the fans here would forget who Taj Gibson was in no time.

illiance wrote:Magilla_Gorilla wrote:The problem is that too many of us here have the starving man syndrome and are too willing to give up necessary equipment for a bite of a bad sandwich. Let me explain...
So pretend you are a homeless vagrant who hasn't eaten in three days, we'll call you Duck. So anyways, you haven't eaten and you are starving and desperate for some food. The last thing you ate was some cat food (Keith Bogans) it was terrible, but it kept you from starving to death.
Now you straggle into a 7-11, but before the store owner can shoo you out with a broom you see one of those pre-packaged 7-11 ham sandwiches (Courtney Lee) in the refrigerated case on clearance. Now for most people they wouldn't touch a clearance sale sandwich at 7-11 if you held their children for ransom. But all you've eaten is cat food and you really want an upgrade on that but you don't have any money.
What you do have is a blanket (Omer Asik) to trade. Its foreign made, not quite as sturdy as you'd like, and its got some holes - but it was their for you when your first blanket was lost, and its kept you alive during the cold winter nights. But you don't remember any of that - all you can think about is that god damn cat food you ate, and how good that sandwich would taste comparatively.
I beg of you homeless vagrant - don't nosh down a week old sandwich, just so that you can freeze to death later tonight. Eat the cat food and live to fight another day.
tl;dr Eating cat food is better than freezing to deathExcellent post and analogy.
Gleeful fun.

I've a question?
Why not get TMac for a draft pick? Pistons are obviously rebuilding and TMac is on a min salary, right? Hist stats have been trending upwards and he presents good size and ballhandling out of the SG position. Not the greatest 3 point shooter but he's not bad either at at .350 clip. It would seem like both parties would be interested in such a deal, since Detroit really needs to call it a day and start thinking about the future, and the future involves draft picks.

you'd have to think all this movement would help us. We just need to pick off one of the falling apples. We certainly have the assets to play, and I think we should be able to underpay.

We should now offer up the Clippers Taj and 3 picks for Eric Gordon and see if they accept.

I hate to be one of those I got sources and take it with a grain of salt but I just got a text from someone I trust ( They actually texted me early yesterday saying Toronto was one of the teams we were talking to) is saying Houston is asking for Asik, Charlotte's 1st and Miami's 1st for Courtney Lee and Jordan Hill
I hate posting stuff because it's 3rd hand and know a lot of you's like to poke fun at people but oh well.

In a way I am kind of glad. Lee is a very average guy and I think we need someone with more headroom. If we dont have a 2nd superstar like MIA and NY than we need to have a complete starting 5 with dynamic players. Mayo, or JR.

If true, it's not sad...it just means that Mayo is absolutely positively not being traded.
