Re: NBA FA Signings / Available players
Absolutely love JJ Reddick going to the Pelicans. He’s a great vet for them, will look really good next to Jrue and will bring a lot of knowledge to their team.
NO has had a terrific offseason thus far.
It’s also hilarious that the Sixers have lost even more of their shooting...

3/63 mil for J Randle…….NYK lol. Power shift In NY.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

Some terrible contracts being handed out this off season, and the Bulls aren't one of them surprisingly.
Why so serious?

Of course they did.
Truthfully though, I think he’s on the rise a little. I like him.

It's a decent contract for a guy coming off a career season. Randle's deal compared to the deal that Harris got is an absolutely bargain.

Said it a week or two ago, but this offseason looked to be one of those offseason’s where a lot of teams would end up regretting their signings. A year with too many teams with money to spend where guys like Tony Snell end up getting PAID mightily. The Bulls FO is usually pretty smart in these offseason’s. Normally they target a couple vets to improve the bench at a decent price and let the other teams burn through their money on horrid contracts.
It’s definitely shaping up to be one of those years.

The Jazz are going to be really good this year. They're going all in. Can't wait to see them in the playoffs.

That's a lot of money. But after they traded they traded Shamet, 2 1sts and some 2nds, they had to bring him back.
That team really needs to pony up the money for Jimmy otherwise they're going to slide down this year.

What’s the deal with the Knicks? James Dolan sure is a funny little fella.

Without Durant next season?
They had a good team before signing Kyrie and De Andre ,even without Durant they'll be strong.

They will be a 2nd round team if healthy.
I’m not high on their future as I don’t think KD will ever be the same. Achilles is different than ACL. Especially as a 7 footer.
I wouldn't count on it.

New York probably shouldn’t let James Dolan keep their basketball team hostage much longer.

They wouldn't go anywhere with him ,it was a good change for both.

I know Dolan gets a lot of sh**, but I think it's not unreasonable for him to have second thoughts about it.
Don't get me wrong, when it comes to a top 2 player signing, if he is interested, you do it no question. However, when it comes to giving a player that amount of money, with the chance that the player may never be that same player again, I think it's natural to be concerned.
Why so serious?

So he had a 5 year full max from GS. He signed for the full 4 year max in Brooklyn. There were likely a dozen teams (out of 15 teams that could have signed him) that maxes him.
Why do you go and embarrass yourself by trying to lowball KD? It's an amateur move.

Pelicans are going to be my second favorite team in the coming seasons. Hope they kick the crap out of the Lakers in every matchup.

36 mil/yr for Tobias Harris??? Tobias Harris?? That's MVP type money, or at the very least, top 15 kind of money. And he's like the 4th best player on that team? Maybe?

Didn't say it was a good decision, just said, it's fair for him to be concerned about it.
And just because other teams were willing to take the plunge, doesn't assure that it would ultimately end up being the right decision either. If the Bulls had the space and KD showed indication that he would be interested.
It remains to be seen how he comes back.
Why so serious?

I'm not arguing that. But your NY. You haven't signed a major FA in forever and have been striking out. Why embarrass yourself if a elite player was actually going to consider you? Just don't make an offer than. This is the type of thing that makes them look silly.
