Because he is the only real talent on the team (ok... WCJ and Coby are looking at me) all eyes, and all the pressure, are on him. He takes all the blame when they lose, and he has looked miserable having to defend himself and the team every game.

He was actually laughing in the interview. I hope he lets all that pressure go now and just uses his talent and plays basketball going forward.

It was nice to see. He needs to have that weight off of him. One of the reasons, IMO, that he was able to do this was because for a minute there at the end there was no pressure. Everybody had given up on the Bulls actually coming back and winning. There was nothing to lose really. Nevertheless, it was an amazing performance for the ages. And, yes, it was really cool to see him laughing and smiling in the PG interviews. Hopefully, he uses this as a springboard and plays like there's no pressure on him. That's when he's at his best.

By having an injured starting SF and a PF score 3 points.

If they keep up that pace for an entire game they would score... 838 points. The "foul/get a steal every possession and have Zach jack up and make every 3" offense.

Better than losing to them (which happened earlier in the season).

Wow. Those are the types of games you dream about when you're shooting hoops in your backyard as a kid. Enjoy it Zach!

One thing that struck me in watching the highlights- he took a lot of 3's, had a few easy baskets underneath off of feeds, and took almost no mid range jump shots, or plays where he tried to drive through the teeth of the defense. That ought to be where his points come from all the time. He's a very good 3 pt shooter- maybe the best on the team- and he ought to be taking a lot of those each game. And then occasionally when he seems a breakdown, go to the basket. I think he'd be a lot more efficient that way.

The other thing is that a winning formula for the Bulls seems to be when Zach and Coby both have big scoring nights. Which speaks to the problem the Bulls have- not enough scorers. When those two guys do both have good games, they can carry the team. But you can't rely on that to happen all the time. At least not yet. Maybe they can be like Lillard/McCollum one day. But it would also be nice to have a 3rd scorer out there, which should be Lauri.

Still very concerning that Lauri is essentially non existent playing with Zach. They rarely ever have good games together.

Will add again that LaVine won them this game considering the continuous awful decision making of Boylen with his rotations and lineups.

It's always humorous how many fans think they know more about how to coach a team than someone who has been either a coach or an assistant coach at the nba level for what- 20-25 years now?

Zach LaVine saved Jim Boylen's ass.

That is the main takeaway from this game. There is no way to watch this fourth quarter without recognising that.

Incredible. Happy for Lavine.

Still can’t believe he passed up a 12 foot jumper for the tie but instead took that crazy step away 3 for the win. Wow!
