My “sources” (internet and my brother and his friend) say that the recent rise of the Bears O-line is tied to the inclusion of Mustipher and Bars. I see a bunch of Mustipher stories today.

This man did everything he could not to throw Nagy under the bus but you can tell he's pissed and not holding back at this point, can't wait to get rid of the clown and his stupid visor.

Mustipher is good, he's a keeper at least until we invest more into the line.

Bars is meh, he gets blown up pretty frequently and he's gotten a ton of penalties.

Hebert is what we hoped Trubisky was.

Only way Pace keeps his job is if Bears win out with Mitch playing well and win a playoff game or lose a playoff game in which Mitch plays great.

Don’t see either happening. Pace will be gone like so many before him all due to the QB.

On the topic of football, I am enjoying seeing Notre Dame getting exposed yet again on the big stage. They are consistently the most over-rated, over publicized, over broadcast team in college sports.

Notre Dame was actually somewhat tolerable until Lou Holtz came along. I cannot think of Notre Dame without associating that school to Holtz. For obvious reasons given how good a coach he was for that program.

I knew they would get exposed with Trevor Lawrence coming back. They're a top 10 school, not a top 4.

i loved ND football so much under holtz that my breaking point being a die-hard bears fan was when they cut chris zorich

i don't think that the group they put together to determine the playoff teams is consciously affected by potential TV draws, but if they are there's no way A&M gets the nod over the irish for the last playoff spot

...but now that i look at the resumes, there's no way that A&M belongs in the playoffs. cincy maybe if they beat tulsa

except that it had nothing to do with trevor lawrence. ND's offensive performance was what was vastly different from the last time they played

I liked them too in the Ara Parasegian regime. Holtz definitely made them unlikeable.

Payt10 wrote:Trubisky probably has had the best 3 game stretch of his career after coming off being benched. I don't know what it means, long term, but I'm happy to see him finally playing with more confidence.

I'm pleasantly surprised, but am not yet convinced he's anything more than a solid backup/fringe starter for an NFL team. It's one thing to have these kind of performances against bad teams, but can he do this against the Packers, the Chiefs, the Saints etc..? I need to see it first.

As far as him being re-signed: unless it's a short term deal that doesn't hamstring them with the cap, I don't think it's likely he will be back, and quite frankly, I'm not sure he even wants to be back. I was a definite no a few weeks ago on bringing him back, but if he can perform the way he has in these last 3 games, you can't automatically rule it out.

In the game yesterday, he had two throws that were about as impressive as I've ever seen from him. The touchdown to Allen Robinson where he made an anticipatory throw over the top of the defender before he was even open, and the side arm, across the body throw he made to Kmet with pressure in his face were just absolutely sensational plays. That was #2 pick in the draft kind of stuff.

2:45-3:15 are the two plays I'm talking about.

Read on Twitter

Word.

It's nice that he had a few good games but as far as evaluating him, it's meaningless.

Playing well against bottom 5 defenses is nothing to write home about. In terms of actually playing against a legitimate defense, you could argue that Trubisky hasn't even had a real test yet in 2020.
