It's crazy that we can be so optimistic about having only 7 players out. We're only down half the team!

Durant has joined Harden in the Covid protocol. Time to make up some ground on the Nets.

And they won't be getting any help from Kyrie.

Although that was predictable, relying on an unvaccinated player to be a covid replacement.

The two postponements were nice. 3 games left until basically everyone is back (barring lengthier stays for anyone) and hopefully we'll have herd immunity for the rest of the season. Ball, Caruso, and Bradley are the only regulars who didn't get it.

Would be nice if we could find a way to win some games while we are still down a considerable number of players, it's sort of a bummer that a few of those games would have been highly winnable and now will be highly questionable.

AD went down against the Wolves, hard to imagine he’d be back against the Bulls. Makes the defensive responsibilities easier.

The team not practicing for a week seems like a lifetime. Hopefully they’ve been working out and getting shots up individually.

Welcome to the Holiday season of 2021. Got it all around me with my wife's family and work too. Omicron is raging running through the streets right now just having a blast. Ughhhh

For the Bulls at least they were ahead of the curve and honestly we should be a little grateful because yeah it sucks and has but hopefully we have more immunity when it counts. We had good health outside of Vuc during the tough stretch and we now have the 5th easiest schedule going forward. It's not terrible. Tomorrow's game might be tough of course but we already won in LA which is a bonus. When are the makeup games though? They could be crucial

I really dont like how the NBA is handling this. There are too many players out.

The owners are like do whatever it takes to not postpone a game but at the same time, they are robbing the consumer of an actual NBA product.

How can they make you pay full price for a game where even the announcers dont know who they are unless they read the catalog.

Also I would say we are really lucky to have those games postponed. We were the first really hard hit, but now teams have 10 players out and are still playing. So we were actually fortunate.

Maybe NBA should follow the NFL’s lead and stop testing vaccinated players that are not showing symptoms.

Best me to it. Was about to come on and say that we actually got some preferential treatment from the league. The Nets are hit even harder than us this past week and they've had to deal with it and piece meal whatever roster they can. Ditto for the Bucks and the Magic (I know they suck either way but still). Even at our worst this week we still would have had Ball, Vuc and Caruso available. That's more than what those other 3 teams can say.

Hornets also had like 7 guys out and they didn't get to postpone any games.

Either way tonight should be a good one. We're missing Zach, but they're missing AD so that's sort of a cancel out. Too bad being a home game we get robbed of Ayo vs THT though

Clint Eastwood wrote:The world has lost its mind and forgotten its original purpose. Vaccinating everyone is designed to make this disease less dangerous. It never was going to completely prevent disease. Now that everyone vaccinated is at very low risk for severe disease, why are we taking any precautions at all? Why do you need to sit out 10 days if you test positive? With influenza, this was never done and a vaccinated covid patient is similar to an unvaccinated influenza patient. And we don’t go around testing all people for influenza. I suspect that in years past, if we tested for influenza like we test for covid, we would have just as many people out and the whole league would have to shut down.

I agree with most of this, except the underlined part. The covid vaccines were explicitly touted as stopping people from getting infected. This trait was the basis of all the vaccine mandates and, of course, turned out to be completely false.

It wouldn’t shock me if the league would find this approach appealing precisely because they know some guys aren’t going to report mild symptoms.
