Mitchell averages about 1/2...0.5... an assist more per game than Lavine. Defensively Mitchell came into the league with expectations of being a defensive stopper and the word is he was pretty good as a rookie and has declined every season since. Kind of the opposite of Lavine. Everything I read says he is a subpar defender but can be solid when putting forth full effort. Exactly like Lavine. He IS 4" shorter than Zach so if you think this team is tiny now...
Lavine is a better 3 point shooter.
I mean, if you want to look at just the last 7 games of his career, Mitchell is a freaking superstar at an unparalleled level. If you think neither player will return to their mean then sure. But history says you're trading for the same player only 4" shorter.
