Not sure how bad they want to shed salary, but Steve Adams is a stud and only 25. I would be all over a deal for him. If we could send Felicio back in a deal, I'd be all over that. Would allow us to trade WCJ for a meaningful asset.

depends on how much we like garland, i would do the cavs deal, 7th and protected 1st next year, for 5th and garland, of course pending who the pelicans take at 4th. dont know about top 5 protected though, might make it more like top 8 protected.
i can also see the pelicans getting in on that deal.

If Chris Paul is available for Cap Space only I'd take him in a heartbeat. I know it is a huge risk for 3 years but we will still have our 1st rd pick this year.

Getting that #21 would be nice. Would be on the hook for $31m over the next two years for Schroder. Schroder temporarily fills the PG need.

We don't have nearly enough cap space. We'd have to trade $18 million in salary to get him (unless Asik money gets waived, then only $15 million).

There's still a huge part of me that thinks the best version of this team is Lavine and PG and Lauri at C surrounded by 3 and D guys.

Schröder I think is maybe slightly underrated as a player, but 15 million per for 2 years for him feels a little uncomfortable at first glance.
Also, I don't know what's going on with that possible felony charge against him.
Not enthusiastic about Roberson, but if there's nothing else to use the cap on, it'd be 11 millions and a year of Roberson for a late first rounder. I could live with that.
From the basketball's perspective, travel is a nice pause from being pounded to the floor.

Milwaukee->Bulls: Ersan Ilyasova, Donte Divicenzo
Why for Milwaukee: clear salary, get a player on a min contract to ride the bench for most of the year (or waive).
Why for the Bulls: Ilyasova at $7mm for a year is fine for the Bulls as a backup big who would get spot minutes.
Divincenzo battled injuries last year as a rookie and will turn 23 next season. He's worth the flyer and is as good as a late first IMO. Milwaukee can't trade any 1sts in the foreseeable future given the picks they already have going out, so this seems like the next best thing.
Don't they have the 30th pick?
Yes, but next year's pick is almost guaranteed to convey, which would leave them with two straight years without a FRP.
I could be wrong, but I think they can still trade the 30th pick, but only after they make the selection (which means the player is traded, not the pick). If I'm correct that means Milwaukee and Chicago agree to a deal and Milwaukee selects for Chicago.

I see.
I'm also wondering if the Bulls would rather have Donte, and the Bucks would rather trade away Donte (makes more money than 2019 #30 and cap savings is their goal here).
I'm thinking Divincenzo would be the ideal chip to move for both sides given their motivations for the deal in the first place.

Yeah Adams is good if he can be acquired without giving up something significant you have to heavily consider it, whether you trade WCJ or not.

What's his current status? He missed all season with an injury.

This is a horrible idea, but we don't have $40 million cap space so it has zero chance of happening.

Will he still be elite after that blown out knee? I doubt it.

Even if he’s not who cares he came with a 1st rounder in a salary dump deal

Yeah...I like him. If we "donate" our 2020 1st to get White (my guess at the moment), he'd be a good pairing off the bench with him.

No I’m not mad I said even if he wasn’t his old self we still got a 1st rounder for him in a salary dumb move . The pick always more important than the player. If he’s healthy then that’s just extra

Re: Trade Thread: Armchair GMs welcomed
I mean if you get Steven Adams and 21 for Felcio/cap space, then maybe you go ahead and trade WCJ for the 4th pick. Then you're walking into the draft with Adams, 4, 7, and 21. That's a great summer. The Bulls roster could look something like this:
C. Adams/FA
PF. Lauri/Clarke
SF. Porter/Hunter/Hutchinson
SG. LaVine/Valentine/
PG. Garland/Dunn/Arci
That's honestly a pretty interesting young team.
