Curious question.

If the Nuggets were to pull off a Suns type trade (with say OKC) and get 2-3 FRPs would anyone be interested in a MPJ/Zeke swap if 2-3 picks were involved?

He is a good player but also worse then Lavine and it still might not put the Bulls in tank mode. So they could still wins games they should be losing.

But he's a 3rd option. Who should be dumped for salary relief lol

Correct.

Sure. We can replace him with 3 end of bench players taking up the same salary. It's a great plan.

Bulls are starting to receive calls on both Zach and Vuc.What would a trade with Milwaukee for Zach look like ? Middleton ? and do they even own picks ?

They apparently are trying to make other trades to create space for either Beal or Zach.

Middleton only makes sense if the Bulls are flipping him to another team.

Are they receiving calls on Zach? Milwaukee hasn't shown interest in LaVine, he was just mentioned as a possibility.

Shams reported today that the Bulls are receiving calls on Zach and Vuc.

Yeah exactly Middleton wouldn’t make any sense. He’s 33, always injured ,not the same player he once was and has another 2 years on his contract.

Sure he would help a “tank” but AK has made it clear that they are looking for a good younger player and picks, doesn’t want to trade Zach just to trade him.

Thanks.

I just haven't seen that posted anywhere on here, I thought maybe Red was referring to the Milwaukee post.

IIRC Bucks have their 2031 pick that can be included. Maybe a young player or two, but I haven't seen enough to be enamored with anyone.

Hopefully get an asset or two but yep.

There's no reason for the Bulls to keep Zach, send him somewhere to win and we rebuild.

I'm not sure if this is accurate, but using the Spotrac trade machine I cant find a trade for Zach to Milwaukee. They're a 2d apron team, so can't aggregate players which is where it fails. They need to send multiple back to Bulls (assuming no Giannis/Dame traded). So unless they work a separate trade first to cut salary, seems non-workable. Even a 3-team deal gets kicked out by the app.

That's why everyone has been mentioning that they'd have to trade Connaughton (probably to the Pistons) to get under the 2nd apron (they're 6.5m over).

So if they did that they'd then be able to aggregate.

I don't think Beal would agree to come here and if he did I'd want more in that trade.

I doubt Beal agrees to come to Chicago.

If this trade were to happen I could see Zach doing well in Milwaukee and Phoenix improving. Imagine the reaction to that on this board? Ha!

I might consider it for two picks from the Suns, but even then I'd have to think about it. You?

And there's no way this franchise is going to add an even bigger salary than Lavine, with a NTC, long-term, for a worse player.
We said no to Derozan and took Chris Duarte and cash instead. Taking on Beal is simply completely tone deaf to how the Chicago franchise operates. Marks knows nothing about the Bulls.

We take on the worst contract for the "least favourable" pick? Yeah okay.

F*** off.
