Ingram Kuzma Ball.

Would love to see Pax choke out Lavar though.

Lavar talked so much sh*t about Luke Walton, he'd have a field day with Fred

I mean, Lavar would have no problem dragging our horribly aloof FO through the mud and putting way too much national media attention on us, which would enrage Pax. The Lakers are kinda handling him, the Bulls would self-destruct.

Maybe some trades are out there like Fultz but some players are already ending up being released like Elfrid Payton, Lance Stephenson, Shelvin Mack, Marcus Smart might not be long for BOS.

I wouldn't jump on the first guy but if you look at who teams drafted, like PG, if that gives them 5-6 PGs they're going to send some of them packing. Let the 'available' market grow some and see if they can't find someone better than Payne and Grant to play behind Dunn. Maybe they see a 3 or a 4 to bring in on a short deal and they can trade Portis, Holiday or Valentine to get a pick here or there. Things are just warming up and the Bulls are one of the few teams with some cap room to work with.

I am 100% in for finding a way to get Ingram. I don't think he will ever be a star but we need a wing and he should be a real solid one for a long time.

I am a Bobby Portis fan, but I do not see him being a part of our long term future. Wouldn't make sense to give him big money.

I would help Lebron get to LA and take that Deng contract if Ingram was included for sure. Magic has already shown he will attach a piece to get rid of bad money.

Portis and what for Deng and Ingram?

Dunn
Lavine
Ingram
Lauri
Carter Jr

Nice start.

and if that ^ wouldn't work out I agree with a previous poster, showcase Bobby big time early in the season and get a mid to late first for him.

RoLo + Portis + Wing for Deng and Brandon Ingram?

Post#1626 » by MGB8 » Tue Jun 26, 2018 4:23 am

If Lebron and PG13 are indeed set on LA, not sure how Ingram fits.

That team would like also have to renounce Randle, and need to add a starting level center along with depth at the 2/3 and 4.

Enter the Bulls. RoLo is a starting level center who teammates love. Bobby Portis has some vale. Throw in a Justin Holiday and Kilpatrick or Grant for depth... and you would think that is a nice offer for the Combo of Brandon Ingram and Luol Deng’s remaining 2 year’s..,

Anyone think that would be realistic? And/or a good move to add to the young core?

AND... I see being discussed in trade thread. Feel free to merge....

RoLo (starting level center) plus Portis (backs up Kuzma: Randle renounced to make 12 mil more in cap space] plus Jerian Grant (useful depth) plus their choice of Justin Holiday or Kilpatrick. Salaries match Ingram + Deng. I think Ball goes out for Kemba.

Count me in for that. Like I said in the other thread, Ingram is a real nice piece and Magic has showed he will attach a valuable piece to get rid of a bad contract.

Rolo, Portis, Holiday
for
Deng, Ingram

Dunn/Payne/Grant
Lavine/Valentine/Blakney
Ingram/Hutchison/Nwaba
Lauri/Vonleh
Carter/Felacio/Asik

At least that team will be fun to watch, and we have some real assets in there.

No chance IMO. Lakers would be giving up by far the best piece for only like 3 mil in cap relief. They won't do that IMO.

Lakers are using their assets to make the team better, not worse.

That's not a good deal for a former #2 pick who showed improvement last season...

It would have to be a deal where the Lakers unload Deng's salary. So Deng and Ingram for a future 2nd or something like that.

Also, this can go in the trade thread

Correct. The Lakers are not trying to get more veterans, they would want pure cap space. If they cleared enough, maybe they are interested in a super cheap piece, but definitely not matching salary they are sending out. Completely defeats the purpose.

I wonder if Knicks would consider Noah plus 2019 top 5 protected 1st for Felicio?

I could see the Lakers wanting to take Portis on because his salary is low. They might offer Kuzma to unload Deng's salary. They need to clear as much salary as they can to sign Lebron and PG. Ingram or PG could play SG in that scenario, I suppose.

I would love this, but I think LA would need to exhaust Ball/Deng deals before they move on to Kuzma. I think they'd even consider Ball + 2019 1st/Deng before Kuzma. That said, I'd be thrilled to get Kuzma. I'd even be happy to get Deng. I think he'd be a good leader/mentor.

I would do Ingram/Deng for Portis, Valentine and our 2019 pick (top 3 protected). Doubt they would though

Why would Kuzma be dumped though? He’s he best value player on the Lakers. 3 years left of late-1st pick salary. I only see him going if it’s 100% necessary in a Lebron + Leonard or George scenario. Even they may want him more than Ingram.

The cost to rid themselves of Deng's salary is going to be high. Everyone in the league knows what's at stake for them (if this Lebron/PG play goes through). Lonzo may be enough, but if that doesn't work, the cost is going to be either Kuzma or Ingram. Not sure who the Lakers value more, if it comes to that.
