Adam actually right. Bench players don’t even know their roles since it changes every day.

I think that Zach wants to now stay in Chicago and not get traded. I saw this elsewhere , who would actually pay subscription to read this BS?

Jake Fischer: “Sources tell The Stein Line that LaVine, who has put himself in contention for a third career All-Star selection with his strong play for the Bulls thus far this season, would prefer to remain in Chicago beyond the Feb. 6 deadline..”

Preemptive damage control for when he doesn’t get traded.

If we can lose enough to get a top pick rebuilding with Lavine is so much better than rebuilding without Lavine.

I'd love to see them trade Vuc and close out the year with Giddey-Lavine-Ball-Buz-Smith starting.

Doesn't seem like there is enough by way of available assets that would need to come from MIL and PHO to make a deal like that work.

Yeah, it's really glossing over the crux of the deal, because you'd need a heck of a lot of "draft capital" to make the Bulls want to swap LaVine for Beal.

If the Bulls were to do this without good draft capital coming back, it'd be pretty engaging, particularly when it seems like the LaVine relationship with the Bulls has been largely repaired and it's not some sort of locker room cancer/huge distraction issue where you feel like you just have to get the guy out of there.

The only reasoning of actually taking Beal is if the bulls are content that they will be stuck with a big contract anyway so might as well get picks out if it with another guy (Beal) who is similar to Zach playing and contract wise.

Wouldn’t be a tanking move since Beal is a similar level player to Zach. Again just to maybe add picks as they will probably lose their own pick to the spurs this year or within the next couple of years.

I’d still be surprised if they did this. Beal makes even more, is a couple years older and that contract is truly not movable. He would be here for 3 more years regardless of how he plays.

Phoenix on the hand is struggling so they are looking to shake up their team and Zach is having a good year so they want him but honestly how does Zach fit in as a third option to Durant and Booker ? Might end up not working which is why Zach would rather stay in Chicago and be the the #1.

Now? He's always wanted to stay with the Bulls. AK is the one who blamed him for all our struggles and wanted to trade him. Basically Markkanen 2.0.

It's the classic "I'm a light years ahead genius, the problem must be all the previous GM's bad moves" so Markkanen, Lavine, Gafford, etc..

You mean players that go another team and play well? AKME isn't familiar with Cubs pitchers. Chicagoans know how this stuff plays out.

Zach never went Jimmy Butler on the situation but he clearly wanted out last season. The relationship between him and the bulls was bad.

If you remember all his or his agents interviews and even the way he was playing. He even asked (not publicly) to get traded to LA or NY. It was the Bulls fault as well as he was always involved in trade rumors.

Now things obviously have changed the relationship has repaired and Zach does actually seem happy to play here. Doesn’t mean he won’t get traded anyway but at least if he does stay he won’t be disgruntled.

I do think that a good part of the whole bad blood situation was fueled by Klutz sports wanting to get him to LA...now LA doesn't want to trade for him.

Adding Beal would be a disaster unless we’re getting all of those picks the Suns acquired.

Even then, I’d prefer to sit Beal and never have to watch him play. Zach is playing as good as he ever has been whilst Beal is just another guy.

Without a doubt LaVine would rather play in LA or with Jokic in Denver or on any serious contender. However, if a media member asks him, he'll say how much he loves Chicago. If he says anything else, it become a news headline and harms his relationship with the team. That's not a risk worth taking particularly considering there is a reasonable chance he won't be traded.

3 late first round picks and overpaying Beal is not a good trade for Zach. Who thinks this crap up?

Another one of those bulls media types that's a whiny baby and hates the bulls. I am a fan of teams in all sports and their is nothing like it I have ever seen. How do these people get a following?
