I don't put much stock into tweets and all these reporters and their sources. I'm still not sure he comes to Chicago though.

Ultimately, I'm just putting myself in Melo's shoes and weighing winning in Chicago vs everything in NY.

Winning means a lot, but it isn't everything.

And how do you know we wouldn't be bad? We wouldn't have the draft picks and we wouldn't have the defense of year player in Noah. The Bulls wouldn't be the defense juggernaut be known past several years.

Not sure since I don't follow Knicks.

and

I think that is the example why you don't necessary want owner get in FO decision making. It is going to interest to see how long Dolan allow Phil to do his stuff before step in.

Anyways its good to be back and its kind of sad that it looks like melo is choosing money over winning rings and it seems like he just used us to be honest but with that said if this squad can stay healthy I fully believe in this team in Noah Rose Gibson Butler Thibs and so on,its just the matter of staying healthy also cant fault Gar/Pax on this they literally went all out and did the most they could...... now it will be even more of a pleasure to whoop the knicks and melo **** ass when we play them this upcoming season...hope he enjoys not winning a ring ever and 10 years from now he will be doing interviews saying my biggest regret was not winning a ring...still a chance I know to get him but looking slim

Good to be back though and go bulls!

I know signs points toward of Melo chooses money but can we at least wait until the official word then start the usual "doom & gloom" at the very least.

Just saying

I know thats why I said "still a chance I know to get him but looking slim"

but regardless still feel good about this team if healthy and really like Mcdermit hopefully Mirtoic comes over an we get some depth filled in...also be wonderful if Jimmy got his jumper going this season

Sure it would suck if he returned for the money, but hey it could be worse... We could be the Knicks.

I will say one thing it will be disappointed if he chooses to stay with the Knicks but I will be ultra pissed off if he decide to sign elsewhere say the Rockets for example.

But don't have to worry about it because I have a great feeling Melo is coming to the Bulls because uh all you have to do is well you know the rest.

One more thing the last time I have a great feeling who we are going to get in terms of free agency is the year we sign Ben Wallace(I know not saying much but whatever!)

Asik is good but he doesn't have the same offense bonus Noah has.

NY gave up 2014 first round, right to swap in 2016 and 2012, 2013 second round alone with 3M cash to Denver, 3M cash to Minnesota (for taking up Eddy Curry's contact), Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton and Timofey Mozgov while taking up contact of Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Renaldo Balkman and Anthony Carter.

NY overpaid for Melo by bidding against themselves, what would have happen in Bulls join the bidding war? It will never be Deng + Noah, it will be Deng + Noah + more assists (Taj will be one of them.) while allow Denver to dump salary.

See, this FO is capable of signing the #1 FA on the market. Even though that player was an aging, declining Ben Wallace that they had to overpay. :)

oh they are going to have an max to offer. Problem is alot of the guys they want will not be available imo.

Love will be gone by then
Aldridge is going to get extended
Rondo will be traded this season for sure
Deandre will be matched by the clips
Gasol is not getting away from the grizz
Dragic will force whatever team he is on to give him the max

Faried probably get extended

In the end i think they will have al jefferson, jimmy, afflalo, hibbert and asik to choose from.

and all those guys will not be taking discounts just to play with melo and nobody else.
