Yeah...my friend told be about that a little bit ago...I was waiting on a thread about it.

Wow!!!!!!

I wonder if Rose was the first person he called?

BTW, I've put out feelers to Minny and the Wiz....

I think it would be possible to salary dump Deng...

I think it is NBA karma...

The Wiz end up having to dump Jamison for nothing.....which helps nix the Amare to Cleveland deal...but...Jamison ends up sucking......and that may help Bron leave Cleveland and push him to Chicago... So how do we respond?

We give them Deng and James Johnson as a thank you gift!

That clears enogh space for Bron and Bosh!

He's Jonathan Hood. His opinion means nothing more than any other random poster on here who says the same thing.

I'll go a step further, for basketball I'll take 95% of the posters opinions before Hood's. He is good at giving out the phone number though.

ESPN never reported Kobe to Chicago was a done deal. That was a Chicago radio station.

And ESPN is merely saying that Chicago is the best destination for LeBron if he wants to win multiple titles, which is fairly obvious to any objective fan.

Chicago has a much better team than New York, and one could argue that Rose alone is worth more than their entire roster. They also have other assets that could be used in a potential trade to free up more cap space.

Nobody is saying LeBron is coming here, only that he should.

That's not entirely true. Broussard has consistently said that "from his conversations with people around LeBron" (paraphrasing, but something to that effect), LeBron's #1 choice, ahead of NY, would be the Bulls if he were to leave Cleveland.

The same goes for Ford's report... he cited GM's saying that they EXPECT LeBron to go to Chicago... not that they think he should.

Wait they've also reported NY and Cleveland as destinations..does this mean he's going to none of the three?

the great thing about these stories is that we have things to talk about guys. if he was guaranteed to stay in cleveland we would be forced to talk about the draft......

I'm feeling whatever number Lebron wants to wear.

One thing about a list of chumps - it doesn't include Lebron.

Well, that list of chumps was a list of our chumps, not a statement about the number league-wide.

If John Ligmanowski (sp?) banned #2, I'm not sure why he didn't ban #6.

Does anyone remember my "firsthand reports" :P of Rose doing some recruitment at the All-Star game??? Here's what I saw when I was in Dallas, just as a refresher and because this makes it seem eerily like what I urged Gar to do that weekend and the Rose-LeBron interaction I witnessed has an actual, legitimate shot of freaking happening:

Image

"Aw wait...ummmmm...man, I forgot, I actually gotta play in this thing. Damn, I was hoping my injury could have just gotten me a nice front row seat to this...hey coach, ummmm...can I like, come in or....aw man, he's not even listening to me." Just then...

Image

"Hey Derrick!"

Rose turns around off in the distance and sees Gar Foreman yelling at him.
"Aw, hey Gar, how you doin'."
"Forget that Derrick, we have a new strategy now. Some crazy fan yelled something at me yesterday, and then it actually set off a lightbulb in my head. I now know what we have to do. We have to go all out for LeBron now. Stop wasting your time with Joe Johnson!"
"But...um....Gar....he was like, um, really excited to maybe play with me and--"
"Derrick! Forget it! Look, there's LeBron coming your way! Now go make me proud, son!"

Image

"Aw man...wow...it's LeBron...umm...he'd be a really cool teammate. Man, this is gonna be hard."

Image

"Umm....hey, LeBron...ummmmmmm.....I, uh.......yeah.....ummmm....."
"Oh hey, what's up D-Rose! How you been kid."
"Ummmmm....I uh, wanted to see if you like, uh.....wanted to come play with me next year........"
"Oh yeah, sure! I'd love to, at next year's all star game, and you know we got the Olympics coming up too, and..."
"No, um, actually I was talking about the Bulls."
"OH.....well....hmmm....." *LeBron mentally sighs, wondering when the circus will end.

Image

"Kid, listen...2010 free agency is six months away...all I'll say is, I'm open to anything this summer. Sure."
"Aw thanks LeBron, that's like, really cool."
"And because I like you so much kid, I want you to come to the Sunday night party I'm throwing with Jay-Z!"
"Oh wowwwwww...umm....well, I turned 21 so I think I'm Ok..."
* LeBron laughs* "I love this kid."

ESPN is not one dude. Secondly, your post assumes that being wrong once makes it impossible to ever be right. Thirdly, Kobe told Bucher that Kobe to Chicago was a done deal. Fourthly, you are aware that the words you're typing can be read by other people, right? Fifthly, I always wanted to say fifthly.
