That's a shock cause the FO went all out this year to bring in the best players to build around Rose. #Sarcasm

But the thing is...if Reinsdorf has already OK'ed a potential 2014-15 amnesty PLUS full payroll......Pax probably finds that more attractive than losing picks right now. Good picks in the new NBA are so much more valuable now. And Pax can draft. Even the haters out there have to admit that Taj, Butler, Mirotic are flat out finds.......

People also need to keep in mind the possibility that the Bulls 2013 pick could end up being a lottery pick.

Just to add some fuel to the FF and JJ for Boozer trade fans:

"Let Dwight be Dwight. If he wants to walk off the court, it's cool," said Davis, who overlapped with Howard only last season in Orlando. "No hard feelings. He lost. I'd feel bad, too. I wouldn't want to shake nobody's hand. We weren't even really thinking about him. We just wanted to get this win. I didn't talk to him. I'm here to play basketball. I'm not here to be buddies."

Sounds like a quote a lot of us would really like to hear.
I was all for that trade before and this reconfirms my opinion, I'd do that trade in a heartbeat and include Rip or Beli too.

Afflalo and Fat Fetus just beasted on Dwight and the Lakers. Like I said, Big Baby always seems to show up for the Big Games.. he's been that way since college. The better the comp, the better he plays. the opposite of a certain Bull player we would love to unload.

The fact that any Bulls fan would want to keep Boozer is baffling.

Aaron Afflalo dropped 30 on the road against the Lakers and the Magic won. The Bulls need to find a way to get him without taking on too many bad contracts from the Magic. He would be the perfect player to pair with Rose.

He cant. Pretty simple.

However, in Orl, Ryan Andersen and Hedo logged a lot of the PF minutes next to Dwight. And as good as Gortat was, somehow they kept going to Battie. Now, ole man Battie gave them great minutes....but come on..

To top it all off, they then gave Gortat a fat contract ( fat for actual minutes he played until then.....the contract is actually fantastic in terms of trade value for the player he is).

Now, on this team I can easily see a rotation like this:
Taj / Nikola / Gortat
Noah / Gortat

As Nikola fills into the long range oriented PF, one of Taj or Gortat becomes trade material.
For love, not money.

Man, gotta love that Glen Davis. Stud if there ever was one.

The reason to do the Orlando deal would be because Redick is an expiring, and Big Baby is cheap salary....not because Big Baby is a career 12.3 PER/49.5%TS.

Yeah, that 13-7 he gets career per 36 in the playoffs on a TS of .517% is great. Let's go get that!

I'll still take him over Boozer's awesome .494 TS% during the ECF's playoff run and .435 TS% last years playoffs- he's had for us the last two years. Boozer probably cost this team a trip to the Finals and a possible Title in 2011 with his weak playoff offense and terrible worst in league defense.

I remember Davis hitting HUGE shots against us vs Boston and I remember him hitting big shots against other teams in the playoffs. I only remember Boozer blowing every big moment he's ever had with the Bulls.

I'm not saying Fat Fetus is good or anything, but I would do the deal to get rid of Boozer.

Who needs Boozer or Melo, get Glen Davis. He made those two shots in the playoffs.

Like I said, the object is not to get Glen Davis. I couldn't care less. The mission is to get a a SG like Redick or AA and DUMP Boozer.

You're right about one thing. I wouldn't want Melo and I don't like Boozer.

Exactly. Then what's the point of hyping up a few shots he made in the postseason and his crap fg%? I'd probably do the deal, but I wouldn't feel great about the team paying $14-15M for Taj and BBD for two years.

I think it would be pretty easy to move Big Baby this offseason. There is a minimum that teams need to spend and he would be a good fit on some of those lower tier teams that are just trying to spend the minimum right now until they can become competitive. Teams like Charlotte, Detroit, Washington, Golden State, Phoenix.

Most posters know there's not many bigs in the league better than him right. Big men in the NBA suck right now this is the era of the point guard

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

While Boozer is a very needed role on this team, and a guy who does score a ton of baskets and rack up defensive rebounds aplenty....... there's no question franchise health comes first.

If you can dump a year off the contract and take back something short of awful talent, you do it.

What Boozer does isn't extremely available elsewhere... but if we get worse until next offseason, I have to say..I think it's worth it in order to prep us for a magnificent 2014 (or at least a far more flexible one).

And while I'm not a Taj-worshipper, the fact that he signed a team friendly deal...and the fact our stash prospect is a PF...it all plays into this. Boozer is filling a role here, but I'm not fusing myself to that out of obstinance.
