That would do nothing to fix the Bulls. We would still be at best a .500 team.

Yeah but we'd have a budding star on our team who is still on his rookie contract. If we trade butler, Wade most likely is gone as well, I would guess via trade. Rondo gets dump and next season we go full tank for Porter Jr.

WTF is happening with NBA, GMs and players gone crazy all around. Phil Jackson fizzing out - offer him Jimmy for Zinger + #8, let him have his win now team, or what ever he wants. Take on Noah and L.Thomas as incentive. Crazy s*** out there.

Pandora box opened with Durant and Warriors this season. Only way getting out from hell is 28 GM's trying to mix some crazy s"%/ and see if it works, otherwise you will be irrelevant for next half of decade. You lose nothing if it doesnt work.

Unless we can somehow get Porzingis on the bulls (especially without trading butler) I would like to see this trade happen.

Chris Dunn, nemanja bjelica, this years lotto and possibly a future pick for Porzingis

It gives Jackson his coveted PG the ability to draft two great prospects in this draft and Bjelica is a good role player.

The wolves would be crazy. I think they would have 12+ in cap. They could use that to sign rose or gay, most likely rose.

Rose
Lavine
Wiggins
Porzingis
Towns.

Agree completely, but didn't want to go that way (KD, GSW). This is new super(team) NBA in making. Meanwhile we have two puddings melting in our own FO.
Watch us take J. Jackson (not that I am so against him) and be delighted with it and resigning Mirotic to "reasonable value".

Porzingis probably isn't actually available. One team probably made and offer that got declined and rumors started swirling. He's not gonna be traded unless some like KAT is offered and that's not gonna happen

It is not a first rumor, and his relationship with Phil is strained, and Jackson still sees himself as a most important piece to Knicks success. Not saying he is going to be moved, or Phil actually has a plan to win now, but I believe he does thinks Zinger is not untouchable.
Heck, position we are in, make a call, hear old guy out. Maybe he likes Jimmy and idea of having him at Knicks. I'd throw our #16 their way to make it happen.

It makes us significantly younger, and that's a good start.

I'd make the same offer. Porzingis has superstar potential. Pax has a good relationship with Phil. It's worth exploring that trade. Maybe you turn it into a three team trade so the bones look something like this:

Celtics Get: Butler
Bulls Get: Porzingis + future firsts from Boston
Knicks Get: 3rd Pick

Why? Why wouldn't the Celtics trade for Porzingis and give Hayward even more incentive to sign in Boston?

I'd rather take KP than anyone this year at #3.
Younger, and longer under contract control.

I can't imagine the celts giving up the 3rd pick plus future firsts for Butler when they could have Porzingis for just the 3rd pick.

This trade is assuming they'd rather have Butler. I certainly would if I were them and the goal was to win a ring.

in regards to the Boston trade...Do you guys think Brown + #3 are on the table?? Or is #3 and 2018 Brooklyn? I believe Ainge is trying to get us the #3 + Corwder...I would never do that...Like Crowder and his salary a lot but u just need more assets to make it happen.

The celtics have a great opportunity to become the favorites to win next year

Boston out: Rozier, Zeller, 2017 pick, Nets 2018 pick, and Clippers 2019 pick
Boston in: Porzingis

Knicks out: Porzingis
Knicks in: Rozier, Zeller, 2017 pick, Nets 2018 pick, and Clippers 2019 pick

Boston signs Hayward and with the money saved by dumping Zeller sign a backup PG. I think Jose Calderon would be a great fit. Probably resign Olynyk.

Final Boston Roster

Thomas/Calderon
Bradley/Smart
Hayward/Brown
Horford/Crowder
Porzingis/Olynyk

Sure, but you can't go around assuming your getting Hayward.

Lakers don't need to entertain the Pacers if they know PG is LA bound.

Return to Chicago Bulls
