These guys dont look like theyre thinking too much or pressing anymore. Just going out there and playing off their instincts. Seen a huge difference in decisiveness in Montgomery and Trubisky. The oline don't look as much like turnstyles anymore. They run block when its a running play and pass block when its a pass play. Not sure if its Lazor calling the plays now or something Nagy has done. Now if we can get the defense and the offense on the same page lol.

Kmet too.

There's an offense here.

Notre Dame was actually somewhat tolerable until Lou Holtz came along. I cannot think of Notre Dame without associating that school to Holtz. For obvious reasons given how good a coach he was for that program.

I liked them too in the Ara Parasegian regime. Holtz definitely made them unlikeable.

His "aw shucks" sort of phony humility always rubbed me the wrong way.

Lazor just does a better job of disguising what we are going to do.

They use pace so much better than Nagy was.

They're using motion to help get the defense off balance, giving the running game more room for holes.

Get another TD here and break their will.

This team is gelling at the right time. Hopefully it's not too late.

I'm pleasantly surprised, but am not yet convinced he's anything more than a solid backup/fringe starter for an NFL team. It's one thing to have these kind of performances against bad teams, but can he do this against the Packers, the Chiefs, the Saints etc..? I need to see it first.

As far as him being re-signed: unless it's a short term deal that doesn't hamstring them with the cap, I don't think it's likely he will be back, and quite frankly, I'm not sure he even wants to be back. I was a definite no a few weeks ago on bringing him back, but if he can perform the way he has in these last 3 games, you can't automatically rule it out.

In the game yesterday, he had two throws that were about as impressive as I've ever seen from him. The touchdown to Allen Robinson where he made an anticipatory throw over the top of the defender before he was even open, and the side arm, across the body throw he made to Kmet with pressure in his face were just absolutely sensational plays. That was #2 pick in the draft kind of stuff.

2:45-3:15 are the two plays I'm talking about.

Word.

It's nice that he had a few good games but as far as evaluating him, it's meaningless.

Playing well against bottom 5 defenses is nothing to write home about. In terms of actually playing against a legitimate defense, you could argue that Trubisky hasn't even had a real test yet in 2020.

It's hardly meaningless. If he had continued to struggle, his career in Chicago would have been over. Now, and if he finishes the season strong, it will at least be a question mark.

Great stop by the Bears to hold them out of the end zone there.

Another big drive coming up here, no TDs and keep the offense rolling. Good start.

I knew Montgomery was good enough to stay our starter! Just needs a little room to run.

Yea, earlier in the season Montgomery was getting some criticism. I'm happy he is starting to be productive.

The guy is willing to fight, and I also liked his post draft interviews. He has is head in the right spot needed to be successful.

Another big drive for the offense. Keep it rolling and keep our defense off of the field. Keep that cushion.

In one of those post draft interviews, Montgomery was asked about his college experience. He said something like, "I told told my mom she would never have to worry about me, and I never wanted her to waste any time being concerned".

That comment stuck with me, and I thought he was a kid who was more mature than his years. From that point on, I really pulled for him to be successful.

I now wish I had the foresight to have the same attitude at his age.
