Re: Melo 17: Death or Glory
Just saw Melo with his whole family and the dogs and all his accountants and attorneys having lunch with Scottie and Larsa and the whole Pippen crew and their dogs, at Cookers's in Deerfield. They close the place for an hour so they could bring their dogs in. I overheard Scottie say, "Welcome to Chicago".. and Melo smiled. I noticed a tear of happiness in the corner LaLa's eye as she ate a Polish with sport peppers and what looked like mustard and grilled onions.
We got this.
We got this.

Well, my board thinks you are getting Melo for the max.
We're all pessimists, apparently.
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

I will try to get Melo 18 started and I will make sure to include you in the title. They're going to have to accept you eventually

I'm gonna get start getting my celebratory GIFs ready.
The biggest thing I personally have taken from this Melodrama experience is that I'm much more GIF-fluent now. I just can't get enough!

They honestly don't even want Melo
They just don't wanna lose
They keep saying we won 37 games with him completely disregarding the 54 wins the year before
I don't mean to be a jerk, but look at that 54 wins.
The Knicks were 18-5 at one point that season.
http://espn.go.com/nba/team/stats/_/nam ... ork-knicks
That was their November stat line. They shot 42% as a team from 3 with guys like Jason Kidd, Felton and Nowak doing most of the damage. It was unsustainable to start with and the players who fueled it are mostly gone. The rest of the way, they were 36-23.
This won't be popular in NY, but the trade that I thought really screwed that team was Bargnani. They used expiring contracts and picks to bring in a guy who is absolute garbage. If they had actually brought in a good player, this whole Melodrama probably doesn't even happen.
