Loved him when I watched him. Don't know how he fits. Had vibes of Lonzo on the court. Like he's just smarter than everyone else. (not position or style)

This isn't really a draft comment so much as I want Kevin Love announcing after he retires. In an industry stuffed with guys whose main goal is to protect their playing legacy, it's refreshing to hear from a guy who is willing to set his ego aside.

What am I missing on Rasheer Flemming? How is he not a surefire top 10 pick?

Mid-major, 21 years old, can't dribble, and only one year of good shooting.

He can bring the ball up the court. Not sure if he can break someone down off the dribble. His highlights were way better than the last game I watched.

Was never a terrible shooter https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/stats/_/id/5105977/rasheer-fleming

I was at the point where he was definitely my guy and then I watched him vs Yaxel and he just looked like another guy.

He’s not very good and he’s old(for a high draft pick).

Classy move by Kevin Love, but I gotta say, my initial reaction to the Dan Patrick quote was, “Ummm yeeaaaah. Of course it’d be a let down if Flagg had Love’s career.” It’s hard for me to imagine Love being offended by something so obvious.

Where do you think his deficiencies are for a PF?

Looks like he can fit a plug and play role on a team. Our current PF can't dribble for s*** either. Lol

Looks like he'll still be 20 at the time of the draft. He did have a jump in 3pt shooting, but it might be legit. It's steadily gone up every year. Might be normal improvement.

My Fleming Scouting report from the Rhode Island game. I am trying to wrap my head around calling him a 5. In highlights I saw him as a guy who was more of a PF/SF but am warming to him as a big. He has 19-7-4 steals and 1 block in this game. 5 total bleals.

Positives
-Runs the floor well
-Great Length, he's like a condor
-Very good stroke on shot, it's not a facade, he is a very good three-point shooter
-Rotates from the 4 to the 5 for St Joe's when their center leaves
-Confident in his 3.
-Smart defender who switches and knows his spot in the zone well
-Good post game, strong, and uses his body well
-I've watched some interviews and I think he would fit the team well.
-Can easily guard 3-5

Negatives
-A little awkward in his movements, kind of like a baby deer.
-Motor doesn't seem as good as I thought it was
-He's not the go-to for anything, not the primary big, not the primary scorer or ball handler
-Very curious about his lob game, he clearly has the athleticism and length
-Wish he was a more active rebounder
-I want more fight out of him.

Overall. This is probably a guy you draft, you love, he starts at the PF next to Buze in a 3ish man forward rotation with Pwill. Ceiling is probably 18-10 1.5blocks a game. It really depends what you want with our pick. I think he's a cant miss guy but his ceiling might not be too high.

I wouldn't mind at all the St Joe's C on a summer league squad. He has 3 years at Harvard and is a shot blocker with good size. Scoring numbers are weak.

Whoa

he’s interesting and should hopefully be in the range of our pick

a rim protector and quick enough to switch onto guards on defense

his offense is hypothetical (Greg Anthony was saying his offense was more advanced than Embiid at the same age which is absurd) but he should be a good lob guy and he shoots well from the FT line and his form is good enough that you could see him being able to make NBA threes at a decent clip

I think if he's on the Board when our pick comes up we'd have to really consider him. We need a rim protector. If he can hit an occasional "3" to keep teams honest then more the better. I've only watched 4 or 5 Duke games this year but he's been an important part of their success. And God knows we have enough guards and wings at this point.

Forget about the fact that he'll likely go before we draft. What about him screams "AK pick" about this guy? We don't like tall, defensive, C's.

AK has now made it clear we want to play fast the whole game every game and he wants high IQ two way players.

Collins is way better than Vuc and Collins is an average defender at C with limited athleticism and length.

AK and Billy know we need a stud rim runner + protector. They are committed to an identity now. We will see if they go BPA or best fit where we pick. Often outside the lottery teams select for highest floor more than ceiling as the bust rate is so much higher.

Buzelis is our current PF. Or or you projecting him as SF?
