He will. It was always the plan.
The guy said he wanted to play in Phoenix his whole career and I honestly think he would rather get a statue than ring chase.

Like with any superstar ... rule 1 ... sign the contract.
Then he can decide if he wants out a year or two later... if at all.

Oh yeah. I meant "for now"
Give it another 2 years and he may change his mind.

Spoiler:

One thing we have to do is get away from the defensive nature of trying to convince players and teams that there's connection the loads and the injuries
We're bordering on a level where it's almost insulting.
I don't think we should be putting our head in the sand and acting as if there's no correlation

The man knew how to use Caruso. You manage his minutes and keep him in bubble wrap until it is time for the playoffs. Then you unleash him.

Daigneault ran a ton of different lineups throughout the year to not only figure out what their full roster was capable of but to save guys like Caruso from getting burnt out playing PF in January against Julius Randle.

Makes it less likely that we kick ourselves over not trading Ball to Memphis.

Yeah, I mean if I were an Indy fan this is as close to an unforgivable move as possible.

Reminds me of OKC breaking up their trio that went to the Finals over about $5M per year difference in Harden's contract.

Indy letting Turner Walk is such a typical small market, cheapo move. I would hate being a fan in Indy right now. The contract Milwaukee offered isn't even that egregious.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

Yea even uncle Jerry isn't that damn bad. He paid the tax the year that Rose was out, and we weren't just coming off being 1 game shy of a championship either

He took less per season for one more guarantee. Plus a trade kicker

The report I read was that the most Indy would offer was 3/$60M. If accurate, he didn’t take less per season.

Almost as bad was how many people were saying "good/great deal!", "very tradeable!", and "that contract will look like peanuts in a few years!"

Stuff Denver did, not getting the same kind of national attention but good quiet moves.

The East is going to be a toss up, which means that the Bulls could go in any direction depending on how this off season plays out.

I'm of the believe that we need a chance at a top 4 pick next year, at the chance of securing a star player, because right now, it looks like it's on Mata to be that player and I'm just not there with him yet. But until we get that star, no matter what we do as far as additions goes, we are just forever going to be mediocre.
Why so serious?

At this rate, if we play at the same level as we did at the end of the season we'll probably make it to the second round of the playoffs.

Yes it will. The west is looking much better. Knicks still don't haver a coach. Philly is on the IR. Indy is down. Boston is well yeah. It is a mess. Atlanta shored up but yeah they are still Atlanta. Orl, Cavs, looking the strongest right now?

These teams didn't get worse really.
- Cleveland
- Knicks
- Milwaukee, minus Lillard but added Turner but otherwise still that 48 W team. Still see them significantly above 40, still have Giannis.
- Detroit, should get better just being a young team
- Orlando, should get better just being a young team and added Bane
- Atlanta, made a lot of moves this offseason and they lost their 2nd best player Jalen Johnson midseason. Just him being back is a huge addition.
- Philly will be much better just with players being healthy

Still a lot of teams that could be better than Chicago, who basically did nothing this summer (so far).

Chicago doing as expected and relying on internal improvement. That’s all we got no assets to be truly proud of as yet.

If we sign giddey under 30+ Million we did well. Kuminga situation is just noise unless they come up some Williams swap.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.
