I like Carter as a person and a player, but his inability to guard on the perimeter will render him a non-factor in the playoffs. He will win us a few regular season games against non-elite teams though. Maybe that’s good enough. I do miss being in the playoffs, even as a low seed.

And you think Bridges will be any better? His best role would sitting in corner being set up by buys like Lebron or Simmons. And no he isn't shutting down any elite wings either. No one does. He is a joke compared to guys like Tatum and Brown. You know the guys he will need win matchups against.

The fact that you think Mikal's best offensive role is to sit in a corner waiting for spot up opportunities tells me you don't know anything about his game.

Whatever. Obviouslty he can shoot from all over and that was just an example, but be still has to be set up. I know PLENTY about his game, but sure try discredit me because I don't want a role player ceiling prospect with our pick. If you want him on the Bulls too bad because it isn't happening...

Starting to like Wendell Carter more and more. He and Porter are my two guys at #7. I think I like Carter over Bamba and JJJ as well. Would not shock me if he ends up better than all the bigs ahead of him as a complete player.

I've seen Young interview a few times and to me it's like he doesn't even know how to speak. He has talent but I rather have Carter, Porter or Mamba.

Ok, so he talks like he has peanut butter stuck on the roof of his mouth. So what? It's just a small lisp he has. As long as he can play, who cares how he sounds like.

I won't be surprised at all if he ends up better than those two. He is clearly better than both of them right now and almost a full year younger than Bamba. I think he has a lot more to his offensive game that was sacrificed to work with Bagley. But what he showed was still better than them. Of course they have more potential because of their superior measurables, but Carter a higher floor while also have a really high ceiling.

That being said I would probably gamble on either of those two at 7 just like I'm willing to do with Porter, but Carter is right there with them. Remember people would have laughed if you suggested Lauri was a top 3 player in the draft last year...

Yeah I'd be surprised if he was a true 6' 7".

Donte Divincenzo measured out at 6' 4.5".

Doesn't really affect his physicals for me though, wingspan >>> head location.

Pictures comparing heights are notoriously inaccurate, but I think this one looks more likely to be relatively accurate.

I have no clue what they are doing in the first picture. For all I know, they might be doing some midair belly bump, lol. Or Donte could easily be standing on his tip toes during that celebration.

Worst case, he measured 6’6” with a 7’.5” wingspan in 2013.

Not everyone understands that. I wasn't trying to make fun of Young. All I am saying is that he doesn't sound very intelligent when talking on an interview. He is a very talented individual who could be an all-star but when I see players like Bamba and Porter Jr speak you see that IT factor.

I was going to say he interviews too well for this to make sense unless he is doing it on purpose. I fully believe he is forcing his way to Chicago. Next we need to see what teams he will work out for and share those medical records with.

Does anybody find it odd that the bulls haven’t worked out any players projected to be in our range? I know Bamba workouts for the bulls today. But you hear nonthing of the bulls working out MPJ. He has not even interviewed with the bulls yet.

It seems like the bulls have only worked out second round to undrafted guys.

That's because lottery picks dont workout till later. They only have few workouts and they are usually scheduled closer to the draft.

I thought this was an interesting view. Overall, probably makes me feel a little better about his defensive potential. I was impressed with the mobility he showed in the positive pick and role section. Obviously, he has a lot of areas for improvement, but I think he might have the physical tools, BBIQ and effort level to become a really good defensive player in the NBA. Despite having so many areas he could improve he was easily Duke's best defensive player according to DBPM (7.5) and defensive rating (92.8).

Yeah. And it will be our luck that you get one sick sob of an executive that says “awe yeah...this is just the kind of guy we need. Shows great ambition. Let’s take him!!” Lol.

I would be surprise if Michael Porter Jr is not a Chicago Bull come draft time. I don't think Porter Jr is a bad interview that is all a smokescreen. He is pushing his way to Chicago and using the media to do it. His agent has a real close relationship with Paxson and the Bulls.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Yeah Holv...that’s an interesting thought. If Bamba falls and the Bulls somehow have a choice between the two, who do you think they are picking?

Why wouldn’t the bulls set up an interview with him, like they did with Bamba?

Well, if you buy into the idea that this has been in the works for some time, they probably know everything they need or want to know about him by now. IF what’s being rumored is true.
