Definitely intentional. It's the same exact way he fell on Korver's leg, just lucky Horford was able to move his in time.

How can you throw your weight at something when you already off balance?

The safest way to fall is right on the ass is right while extending the distance of the fall to reduce impact of the fall. Breaking the fall with your hands could potentially lead to hand/wrist injuries. Thats bball 101 if you have ever actually played the sport before

This post-season has been a letdown overall. Not just because the Bulls lost, but all the injuries, series not living up to what they should. Spurs eliminated in the 1st round due to the wonky seeding. There were a couple exciting late finishes, Derrick, Lebron, some of the West games, but mostly the East has been a car wreck, and the West is just a bunch of pretenders next to the Warriors.

I think the Cavs are in for a beating. The talent gap this year looks at least as big as Spurs/Miami did last year going in - when I thought the Heat were too obviously flawed defensively. Though that turned out to be even more lopsided than expected.

I'm JS, if Lebron wins his 3rd ring this year where does it put him on the all time list?

top 5?

I take heart that we actually took 2 games from them given that they swept Boston and now probably Atlanta. Growing pains....growing pains...the Pistons years.

Only one winning a ring is Wardell Stephen Curry of House Golden State, second of his name, Fresh Prince, Baby Faced Assassin, Sinker of Three's and Brother of Splashes.

He may already be top 5. If he isn't, then yes, another ring would have him firmly in my top 5. When it's all said and done, he may finish up only behind Michael in my books.

Agree to disagree. If I am diving for the ball, I am diving, collecting the ball and rolling to protect myself. It's how its taught in football, and it's where he would have picked that up.

I don't believe there is any malice in that play at all.

I agree. Also, this is my first foray into this thread and all I've done is watch highlights, but it sure looked to me like Horford deserved that ejection and possibly a one game suspension to boot (which he won't get). He is doing something very similar to what KO did to Love (not nearly as bad though) to begin the play, just throws Delly to the ground, and the drops The People's Elbow on him (albeit with limited accuracy). It was pretty egregious, and I think we all agree is very atypical of Horford who appears to be a good guy.

Did Delly do something (other than the Korver accident, which is all it was) immediately prior to this play?

Sidenote: I was watching the halftime show last night and Shaq and Kenny were kind of critical of Delly for diving on the floor, with Kenny saying "And you know how sensitive NBA players are to that kind of play." I about spit out my diet coke. NBA players are now opposed to diving for loose balls?  Thankfully, Charles backed that practice up as a legitimate basketball hustle play.

The 3 incidents which have now tarnished Delly as a dirty hack are:

1. The leg lock on Gibson - Not dirty imo. Unnecessary and not sportsmanlike, but at worst, that's all it is. No intention of injury.

2. The Korver loose ball - Dives for the ball, out hustles Korver, rolls after collecting ball to protect himself and inadvertently rolls onto Korver's ankle.

3. The Horford incident

People are reacting as if he lined up Horford's knee like a defensive back trying to sack a QB or something. They were jousting for position, Horford pulls Delly's arm, he loses momentum and falls on the leg.

This is the way I saw these incidents unfold, and apparently, I am in the minority.

For the people defending Delladova, I still have yet to hear an explanation of why he jumped off both legs towards Horford's knees.

Probably because Dellavedova didn't jump off two feet into Horford's knees.

I hope the ratings plummet.

The NBA wanted GS versus Cleveland, so their refs made it a reality.

There isn't anything in the Horford play but Delly's "roll" that injured Korver was definitely dirty. He didn't need to roll like that at all. He did it intentionally 100%. Simple as that.

I am not defending Delly. I am saying Horford's ejection appeared fair to me based solely on the highlights I saw. I didn't watch the game. Does this thing happen during the sequence leading to the ejection or earlier in the game?

I´m currently having a heated discussion with my friends via Whatsapp about LeBrons PO-run this year compared to Dirks 2011 perfomance. What do you guys think?
Let´s assume Lebron wins the title ( i highly doubt that ), which playoff perfomance would you consider more impressive? Both don´t have that great of a supporting cast, but for me Dirks run was just more impressive. He played in a much tougher conference and was truly unstoppable.
I heard a lot of stupid things today and just want to know what the posters of this board think.

None of those plays were dirty, and you are not alone. Delly is getting the same treatment LeBron's role players get frequently. Collateral, irrational, hatred.

The only way the Warriors don't win is when Delly rolls on Thompson, Curry, or Klay Thompson's ankles.

I mean guys seriously, there are 3 plays alone where he is rolling around with such preciseness. The leg hops into Horford's knees was further proof. The ball was not even close and Delly was trying to go into him. In the last 2 series and last two games alone, Delly is rolling around not even close to the ball at times. The Hawks are not a dirty team, but they are clearly frustrated by his antics as noted by one of the picks on him and the way he is trying to injure players. Delly was not this uncoordinated prior to the playoffs - scrappy yes, but not this uncoordinated. He did not become this uncoordinated this quickly. It is a fallacy and a joke.

The NBA badly wants a Warriors/Cleveland matchup - hoping for Cleveland to win. The East is real weak this year. The game is rigged point blank. You can't suspend J.R. Smith for 2 games for that crap he pulled. You can't let Delly roll over everyone's ankles. You definitely can't justify the crap calls Cleveland got in the Bulls series and some in the Hawks series. The Bulls deserved to lose as do the Hawks, but this crap is ridiculous.
